Following the death of his 16-year-old son Jett last year, John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston turned to the Church of Scientology for guidance during those tough times, the actor said. While promoting his new film 'From Paris With Love,' Travolta said that he and Preston "work hard every day with our church on healing.""Kelly and I and Ella have all been working very hard and they've been helping us," Travolta said about how his family -- including daughter Ella -- are coping with the tragic loss.
On January 2 of 2009, Jett Travolta died suddenly while at the family's vacation home in the Bahamas. Jett suffered a seizure in the bathroom of the house, which caused him to fall and hit his head.
Travolta went on to say that "once you get yourself stable, then you're able to reach out again," referring to his return to acting following Jett's death. "I think this whole year every day we've been working on stabilizing ourselves and it's been successful so far."

WHAT??? How can you say if "scientology helps them God bless them"? Uhm, God most certainly does not bless scientology. Though the Travolta's are seriously confused God does love them, but he most certainly does not bless these beliefs or scientology. Before anyone asks how I know it's because I am a Christian, I read the Bible which is from God and in it He answers all I need to know.
AMEN Howard!

John and family: I'm thinking it wasn't scientology that helped you... I'm thinking it was people all over the world like me who prayed to JESUS / GOD every day for your healing and well being. You have gone thru an incredible tragedy and
many have been rooting for you and your family. You were not forgotten.
Scientology is a fantasy, make believe world for people who cannot handle the "real" miserable world.

What's this cult stuff....christianity is a cult. Believe what is right for you. There is no right or wrong. Passing judgement on the Travoltas isn't very christian, in my opinion. Remember there are many beliefs in this world. My thoughts are with the Travoltas in this painful and healing time. Good luck.

scientology is nothing more than a cult, remember jamestown, people who follow these cults are more than stupid, also remember the cult in central oregon who followed this so called bum from india rajneeshe who tried to poison a who town, well most of the did real jail time, these cults are there to fleece the money out of anybody
Christianity is a RELIGION. Get it right, moron.
I see Christian Hypocrites just got to sling their own special brand of meanness on this board. They can't just live and let live...allowing others to choose their own beliefs.

Yet you're ripping on Christians...
Probably most of you condemn something that you have never been involved in.
I was an active Scientologist for over ten years and always received more knowledge, ability and happiness then the donations that I gave to the church would cover.
Most people that are willing to do the necessary steps will usually better their lives and everyone else’s around them.
Scientology can only help those people that are willing to help themselves,” in my opinion”.
Only God decides when we should cease living.
Why don’t some of you folks leave the Travolta family alone as they have suffered enough?

I know the pain. I lost a beautiful daughter.
My grief was weeks of shock.
Then my wonderful memories of her have kept me happy.
I enlarged pic of her with my wife and I holding her hands
with three great smiles. That is such a joy.

john jones. huh, scientology, isn't it great

Poor foolish man. Scientology brainwashing is what made him deny his own son's actual condition for so long. He needs help desperately.

I used to like the Travoltas, but after the death of their son, I have changed my mind about them. Nobody should deny their children the medical help they need in the name of God.

I don't hear Scientologist ripping Christians. But I see and hear Christians ripping any religion that differs from theirs.

all religions are made up and stupid

Nowhere in articles about Scientology do they mention "God". It's all about them, me, myself and I.

How dare anyone blame John Travolta! It seems to me that our religions are no ones business. As long as we all have a higher power that keeps us going that is good enough. That poor family lost their child, their brother...I felt terrible from the moment I heard of the tragic news about Jett. We people have no idea what goes on behind closed doors but to me that is one LOVING family. If you do not have anything good to say keep your rotting mouths shut. Robin ,From Pittsburgh.
