Meet Matthew McConaughey's New Daughter Vida
Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have released the first photo of their baby girl, Vida, who was born Jan. 3 in Los Angeles. This is the second child for the couple.
"Our latest family member, Vida Alves McConaughey," McConaughey wrote under the baby's photo. "Thanks for all your well wishes our way, the future's lookin bright, just keep livin, Matthew and Camila."
Alves tells
Us Weekly that the baby "is doing great... It's easier with the second child, because, you know what she'll be like," said Alves, 27.
Alves gave birth to their first child, son Levi, in 2008. The big brother is loving the new addition and is "at the fun stage where he's talking. He loves saying Vida's name!" Alves adds.
Earlier this month, McConaughey released a statement on his
official Web site about his new baby girl. "Vida' is Portuguese for 'life' and that's what God gave us this morning ... Camila's recovering wonderfully and we are both truly honored to welcome this little lady into our family ... Thanks for all of your well wishes and prayers along the way, another blessed day, we give thanks," the statement continued.
Camila is set to host of the third season of 'Shear Genius,' premiering Feb. 3 at 10 p.m. on Bravo.

congratulations on beautiful new baby girl! Life is a miracle and if love is involved it is the best. Sometimes not being married is best as sometimes being married makes it harder when things don't work out.

Why don't you mind your own business and let them live their lives MS. Judgmental! Oh, I'm sorry you are probably a divorced single mom! GROW UP!
Both my children are well-adjusted adults thank you.
I'm speaking of all the poor kids with no parents at home to raise them, plopped down in front of the TV with only their babysitter.

Well said Wendell!!
If more men felt like you did the taxpayers would have a lot less needy hands out to receive their ADC and food stamps.
If you people don't want to get married use birth control. In another five years, maybe less he won't even be with this woman.

In all walks of life we need to get back to a world of more love and morals. To raise our children to care about others and respect all things. It all starts at home and we can only lead by examples of our own morality. None of us have all the answers and only our own heart and soul to lead us. I hope that they will teach their children to always remember that in the morning it is that person in the mirror staring back at you that you have to please. If you can face that mirror with no shame then you are doing better than most. Go in peace and love.
