Robert De Niro Takes A 'Focker' Out to Dinner

Last we checked, the on-screen pairing of Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller has led to a lot of shared hostility -- not to mention De Niro mocking his son-in-law Greg Focker's male nurse profession and funny name. But Stiller has clearly moved beyond the 'Meet the Parents' persona and was spotted dining with De Niro at his Los Angeles restaurant Ago last week.

There was no trace of Focker-attacks during the whole meal. "The two were getting along famously," a fellow diner tells PopEater. "They had a very pleasant meal."

Each actor brought an acting pal. De Niro brought his frequent co-star Joe Pesci and Stiller-pal Stephen Dorff attended the low-key dinner. They ate like Godfathers.

"The waiters were bringing out trays of food, pastas, risottos... everything from the kitchen," says the diner. "The food just kept coming. It was a virtual feast."

The nice-ness will end soon enough. 'The Little Fockers,' the third installment of the franchise, has wrapped and will hit theaters this summer. Focker, Jack Byrnes -- get back to your trenches.

I don't understand why NBC opted to switch out Leno for Conan in the first place. They had the number one rated late night show. If ain't broke...don't fix it.

Leno is being made to look like the bad guy here, but in reality it's all NBC's fault. They were losing ratings to Letterman after the switch because evidently the audience that regularly watched Leno on the Tonight Show were not as interested in Conan.

If I were Leno, I wouldn't return to the Tonight Show. His job, which gave NBC a number one rating was taken away from him to make room for Conan. That was kind of a kick in the teeth to him too. Neither of these two men deserve this treatment. They both should have walked away and left NBC holding the bag for their own stupidity.

The movie was hilarious to watch. I have always liked Ben Steeler, and his parents. They all seem to be as nice as it gets. In the movie Ben and Robert worked so well together, and both were as funny as can be. I will watch more of these movies as long as they keep making them.

This article is ridiculous and insulting. Does the joker that wrote this think the public doesn't understand that DeNiro and Stiller are acting in "the Fockers" films? Why would this person be surprised that they went to dinner and got along? Does this writer usually go to dinner with people he doesn't get along with?

Saw "Meet the Parents" again on TV a few nights ago and it is still hilarious and brilliant. However, it spawned one of the most forgettable and awful sequels of all time. I think they're making one with their kids called (no I'm not joking) Little Fockers. Hope they make this one funny. If they dont we'll keep it on the low down. Down low? No doubt.
