Beyonce Channels Alanis During Grammy Performance

During her 2010 Grammy Awards performance, Beyonce channeled her inner Sasha Fierce and sang 'If I Were A Boy.' But as an added twist, she launched into 'You Oughta Know' to pay homage to singer Alanis Morissette.

Earlier in the evening, Beyonce won the Grammy for Song of the Year for 'Single Ladies' but wasn't present for the acceptance, as she was prepping for her performance. Watch her performance:

The Grammys started off with a bang for Knowles. She led the Grammys with five trophies including song of the year early in Sunday night's award program. She also won the songwriting trophy along with three writers for her omnipresent anthem "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)."

The superstar also took home best R&B contemporary album for "I Am ... Sasha Fierce" among her other awards, and still had the opportunity to win the evening's other top awards - record and album of the year. Beyonce wasn't on hand to accept her early trophies: She was preparing for her dramatic onstage rendition of "If I Were A Boy," one of several hits from her top-selling third CD.

UH...pardon me for asking but...was that Barack's recruitment of his Civilian Brigade there...with Miss Beyondo?
Same act...just a different day and different get-up...it's old.
And what's with the acrobatics and Pinkie...is this the Grammy's or the Olympics?
Taylor not-so-Swift...the girl can't sing...all hype.
I haven't yet watched the Lady GooGoo...I think I'll pass.
Didn't catch it on TV...and it appears I didn't miss a thing.
Wait...I take that back. Stevie Nicks...now THAT is TALENT!
Nowdays it isn't music..it's more like a freak show at a circus.

Was it me or did Beyonce trip and almost fall? Did she purposely wear one earring or did 1 fall off? I wasn't too crazy about her performance and what was up with the marching in of those guys? She didn't dance or anything so don't understand the purpose of that. It was kinda weird that she did Alanis Morisette's song too.

I thought the same thing - she almost fell, atleast it looked that way to me. Glad she didn't cus I don't know if I would have laughed or been embarrassed for her. She didn't do anything special...just alot of screaming and hollering, oh...and stomping her feet. Whippee...BOR-RINGGG!

Can't even finish watching this HOT MESS. Beyonce does same thing over and pushes her voice to levels it can't go. Retire...enjoy being married...have some kids...THEN sit back and watch PINK show you how it's done!!!!!

Pink needs to sit down somewhere. If anyone needs to
retire and have kids its her (have kids, Pink? Hah!).
Looked like all that spinning caused her to lose control
of her bladder, during the performance. One soggy mess!

Who is Taylor Swift?? Nobody heard of this girl until Kanye approached her onstage. In her acceptance speech, she should Thank Kanye for the exposure he gave her. This girl CAN'T sing,she is awful and phony. I can't believe she won album of the year. Who voted for her? The people who don't recognize talent or great performances voted for her because they felt SORRY for her. They pity the stupid girl. I love Beyonce' and Pink they are beautiful and genuine. I enjoyed watching Jamie Foxx and Maxwell perform.

I LOVED Pink's performance. What was Beyonce wearing under that little black dress singing, "If I were a Boy"? I enjoyed watching Stevie Nicks and Taylor Swift do a duet...maybe a pas da deux should have been included. Stevie needs some new duds. She's wearing the same old frocks she wore with Fleetwood Mac. Maybe Lindsey should have appeared and they could have done a duet....they were an items years ago....n'est pas?????

Why hasn't Beyonce gotten blasted for grabbing her crotch, channeling that horrible move by MJ that all the male rappers, etc. stole after he started it? Enough of the vile crotch grab! Hated it from the beginning (w/Michael Jackson giving us a preview of what his private life was all about!)
