'Saturday Night Live' may be at its best when it tackles the political climate, and this week's episode with host Jon Hamm is no exception. In one skit, the 'Mad Men' star plays newly elected Republican senator Scott Brown. Brown keeps wandering into Sen. Harry Reid's office while Reid was meeting with several democrats -- Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Robert Byrd, Sen. Barbara Boxer and Congressman Barney Frank, played by Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Nasim Pedrad and Fred Armisen respectively.
Hamm's Brown continually bursts into the room and with a thick Boston accent and a few winks, makes each of the other politicians dream about the "pretty boy who drives a truck and shows his heiny in Cosmo." Watch

"Hey aren't you the closet organizer guy?"
"...yeah"
"Oh my god, it IS you!"
"Yeah that's me"
My god that was genius. SNL was actually really funny last night, surprisingly.

Banks robberies are prosecuted in Federal court. Its very serious. The state police charged him. Then the Feds can probably add even more federal charges. Federal penalties are known for being harsher too. The feds don't play! This man's going to do some hard time.

Does SNL ever wonder why their ratings suck. The hit pieces could be funny on GOP if they pay the same attention to all the lame little liberal candy butts who are running goverment aganst the majority's wishes. SNL really sucks and only the NY Times type reading public thinks this is amusing.

You suck.
Bob, you're a moron.
The Clintons kept SNL in business during the '90s.
Barack Obama is just kind of boring, but Clinton, Gore, Pelosi, and those types have always been HUGE parts of SNL.
And this wasn't even a "hit piece". If you had actually watched the show, it was a hit jobs on the Democrats who were being distracted by Scott Browns good looks, who were being made fun of ya jerk.
You're a butt plug.
SNL was hilarious last night for the first time in a long time. Every skit was funny. Jon Hamm is a terrific host! I was laughing out out loud the whole time!

This was their best skit of the night, by far!!

SNL needs to hang it up!! They think they are so funny, but to me it gets old real fast.....especially since they don't like to do even-steven skits, only making them all about republicans, when there is SO much fodder to work with on the dems side!! But for some reason, they are afraid to do that, so just let anything deragatory about a dem. be swept under the rug, while going after and ridiculing amy little thing that they can make fun of with a republican.

Hey paskey, you need to take the wool off your eyes long enough to really watch SNL. Maybe then you would realize the only way the Reps. CAN be amusing is satirically. Otherwise they are just a whiney, blaming, hateful and self-serving bunch of very unfunny characters.
paskey, you clearly didn't even watch the show last night. If you had, you would have seen their cold open on the State of the Union address, in which both sides were skewered, even having Fred Armisen's Obama saying, on health care reform, "I just don't care anymore." Pretty tame out of context, but if you saw the sketch, I think you would see that it was a pretty scathing shot at President Obama.
I'm a Republican. I volunteered for and voted for Scott Brown.
This was funny.
And SNL makes fun of Dems all the time. What are you people talking about. In fact, they made fun of Dems in this skit. Jeez. Lighten up.

That was a great skit. Fred's "Barney Frank' was great too ( oogeling the little dancing 'Brown').
Also surprising was Buble',who played a frightened restaurant singer/ employee.Killed it!
SNL had it's 'A' game workin' last night.
Hamm.. could be a cast regular. He's that good.

I thought Jon Hamm was a great host. I am a republican and I felt that they equally poked fun.
