There's no shortage of great tidbits coming in straight from Grammy Awards weekend. It sounds like we'll have some surprise collaborators on a remake of a classic, all in the name of a great cause. There's no shortage of great tidbits coming in straight from Grammy Awards weekend. It sounds like we'll have some surprise collaborators on a remake of a classic, all in the name of a great cause. Britney cut it THIS close to missing the show. Would she have enough time to get glam? And there is one star who can even outshine the lovely Lady Gaga on the red carpet. Find out what you didn't see on TV after the jump. Michael Jackson's Kids Will Record 'We Are the World'
Following their appearance at the Grammy Awards, sources tell me Michael Jackson's two oldest children -- Prince Michael and Paris -- want to be included in Monday's re-recording of 'We Are The World,' the proceeds of which will benefit Haiti. "Prince Michael and Paris know that helping others was as important to their daddy as music. That is why they really want to be part of the re-recording of this extraordinary song," a friend of Michael's tells me.
It's still unclear if their voices will be blended in with the chorus of celebrities or if they will make get to sing a solo line or two I, for one, can't think of any singer alive that would be more powerful than Prince Michael or little Paris singing the lyrics their daddy wrote 25 years ago.
Prince Jackson took to the stage Sunday night at the Grammys and spoke in public for the first time, stunning the audience with an emotional speech about his late father. In accepting Michael's posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, the reclusive 12 year-old choked up while thanking fans for their support since his dad's death. "Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him," he said in a soft-spoken voice. He also touted the goodness of his beloved dad: "Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love."
The brief speech quickly became the most sincere and poignant moment of the evening, with every member of the audience standing and listening in awe as the shy Prince spoke.
Paris also spoke but very briefly, saying, "We love you daddy." She of course made a touching speech at Michael's memorial service, which was held under the very same roof as the Grammys, Staples Center.
Read the whole speech below:
Prince: First of all, we'd like to thank God for watching over us over these past seven months, and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. Through all his hard work and dedication, he has helped many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you. We love you daddy.
Paris: Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform this year, but he couldn't perform last year. Thank you, we love you daddy.
Britney Rushes To Get Ready for the Grammys
A friend of mine saw a barely-recognizable Britney Spears hopping onto a flight from Miami to L.A. Sunday morning to rush back to Cali for the Grammys. "She was with an entourage of eight who were so nervous about not having enough time to get her red carpet ready. Her flight was landing at 10:45 AM, six hours and fifteen minutes before the Grammy's were set to start," gasped a nervous stylist.
Seems like plenty of time to me! "That's no time at all. It takes hours to get Britney looking like Britney. Her hair alone can take six hours," snapped a friend. Which explains why the second she landed she was whisked away by a team of glamour experts. Don't worry she made it, arriving at 7:48 with 12 minutes to spare!
The Red Carpet's Biggest Star? It's the Situation!
Forget Lady Gaga, Beyonce or even Britney. I can "officially" report that the hottest red carpet sensation was "The Situation" of 'Jersey Shore' fame. "Stars were lined up three deep to get their picture with the man with the tan before the show began," laughed one A-list source. Which was probably a good idea to rush to get that pic. After the show he's catching the red eye back to appear on the fabulous 'Today Show' along with me!

I thought the Grammy were pretty good this year. Beyonce and Pink were awesome.
I am usually a country music fan, but I still don't understand what everyone sees in Taylor Swift? Carrie and Beyonce are incredible. But I do not see the talent in Taylor. She just seems like a tall, gawky kid. Some of her songs are good, but she does not have the pipes the other girls do. They will be around a long time.
Then again, I never understood why Bob Dylan was so famous, then I remembered, everyone was trippin on LSD back then...lol..
Haiti was mentioned 3 or 4 times along with a lovely tribute. The Grammy's were not in any way shape or form over run by Haiti. Get a life.

Can they sing, just because mickey was their father, but wait they don't even look like they are related to him.

And, your point is ........
This argument is old...I've seen half black kids much whiter than MJ's so your argument is invalid!
there was barely any originality idk if every1 who was at the grammys was trying to tribute to him or just copy all of his features from the clothes to the dancing it was honestly dissapointing but at least they had they did a tribute to honor him that should hav been done b4 they all copied him.......dissapointing

Thank You!
Will some sane soul please explain to me how a black man fathered these two white kids? Jackson could not have done it. Just look at them!

You need PRAYER ! It is none of your business. These beautiful kids are a testament to how they were raised, by their FATHER Michael J. Jackson.
Somebody had it in for him.
no, no one cares to explain it to you. it's none of your business. so GET A LIFE, and GET OVER IT. he was their FATHER who cares how.
For all you it is possible to have white kids with a darker color person as long as the DNA is of the donor eggs is the dominating Dna. My daughter is a blond scandinavian and I am darker of latin roots . Her father family never mix in all the history of his family generation because of this he was the dominating DNA.
I did not enjoyed the tribute to MJ I was as i am sure as many people left out to apreciated since I don't have a pair of 3D glasses in my house. I don't think MJ would have like to have his children on TV, He did not like them to be subjet to nasty people like some of you in this blogs. Its sad that MJ family does not respect his attack with the nastiness of people. Shame on you Jackson family, let this kid have a normal life like his father would wanted to.
Lots of kids who have one black parent look more white than black. It's interesting to obeserve that the very most attractive people are half black and half white. Maybe this is supposed to tell us all something.
