Prince Jackson took to the stage Sunday night at the Grammys and spoke in public for the first time, stunning the audience with an emotional speech about his late father. In accepting Michael's posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, the reclusive 12 year-old choked up while thanking fans for their support since his dad's death. "Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him," he said in a soft-spoken voice. He also touted the goodness of his beloved dad: "Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love."
The brief speech quickly became the most sincere and poignant moment of the evening, with every member of the audience standing and listening in awe as the shy Prince spoke.
Paris also spoke but very briefly, saying, "We love you daddy." She of course made a touching speech at Michael's memorial service, which was held under the very same roof as the Grammys, Staples Center.
Read the whole speech below:
Prince: First of all, we'd like to thank God for watching over us over these past seven months, and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. Through all his hard work and dedication, he has helped many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you. We love you daddy.
Paris: Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform this year, but he couldn't perform last year. Thank you, we love you daddy.

Linda Hey.... I totally Agree with you! These Kids are AMAZING to go thru what they have been thru and still get up there and make their Daddy proud is a testament in its self! God Be with them and Bless them!
Well if what you say is true, judge him by how he was raised, then re-read the article, what child have you ever heard of that is called "reclusive?" Isn't that kinda a sad word to describe a little boy?
His kids will not be able to ever fathom how magical and world renowned their father was. It is still so very sad. I just hate how there are so many people out there that are hating on him, even now that he is dead. Michael had a message in his music and made a difference (good difference) that no other musician can ever make.
I hope Michael is resting in peace and may God bless and strengthen his children and family members.
I think this was so touching. For all you can say about MJ (and there are a number of things, I suppose), his children are a wonderful tribute to him. They're respectful and devoted to their dad's memory. Anyone would be proud to have these sweet ones for their legacy.
i m happy MOST ALREADY THINK THE KIDS ARE WELL MANNER, ASTUTE- i aLMOst cry watching this love the band on outfit as MJ wore. the kids are definitely JACKSONS ALL THE WAY AND SO SWEET,they are so SMART and so beautiful god bless him,and we now know for sure mj raise the kids as NORMAL AS CAN BE and the proof is look how they look and how "well spoken they are" @ 13 years old god bless them.
and god bless you miguel your at peace ahora adios.
It was a nice tribute to the King MJ who was my favorite I just dont like the way the Jackson Family put his kids on national tv to speak publically MJ would never had allowed that, so how much money did they get for doing that Prince looked rehearse like he was reading a prop and poor Paris looks like she still in mourning for her father you didnt see Blanket he probably new it was wrong cause his father would not have ever allowed for his children to be exposed never shame on u Jackson Family all for the love of money!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was nothing wrong with his kids accepting this award. Lest we forgot, this was a LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD for a man who truly deserved it and then some. There is no one else who should have accepted this award. And certainly, if the kids didn't want to, they would not have done so. Stop thinking like the rest of the negative people here. And MJ would have been the proudest FATHER out there! And children are the proudest CHILDREN out there. Its not all about the Jackson family. Its about love for a father and his children and vice versa!!
...of course Jermaine had to go on stage. I didn't watch the Grammy's and I am glad I did not. Watching Pink fly around in a nude body suit... is this what the super stars of today wanted MJJ's kids to see? If so, they are sick and have me very angry.
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos

Judge a man by what his children think of him, not what the world thinks.

I totally agree Lisa - no way would he have exploited his kids this way as he was exploited. Unfortunately, I think that this is only the beginning...

Lisa, You're disgusting. People like you are why MJ kept his kids out of the spotlight.
