Prince Jackson Breaks His Silence at Grammys

Prince Jackson took to the stage Sunday night at the Grammys and spoke in public for the first time, stunning the audience with an emotional speech about his late father. In accepting Michael's posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, the reclusive 12 year-old choked up while thanking fans for their support since his dad's death. "Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him," he said in a soft-spoken voice. He also touted the goodness of his beloved dad: "Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love."

The brief speech quickly became the most sincere and poignant moment of the evening, with every member of the audience standing and listening in awe as the shy Prince spoke.

Paris also spoke but very briefly, saying, "We love you daddy." She of course made a touching speech at Michael's memorial service, which was held under the very same roof as the Grammys, Staples Center.

Prince: First of all, we'd like to thank God for watching over us over these past seven months, and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. Through all his hard work and dedication, he has helped many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you. We love you daddy.

Paris: Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform this year, but he couldn't perform last year. Thank you, we love you daddy.

I doubt anyone was paid for the Jackson children to be there. I've been a MJ/J5 fan for 40 years, and in my mind the children were the right people to accept the award. If any one of the brothers accepted the award on his behalf, he would have been critcized. And aside from winning a record 8 Grammy awards in one night in 1983 for Thriller, he did receive recognition from the RIAA in 1993. Janet presented him and he wore a black glove with white jacket. (Her hair was braided and MJ joked that they really were two people.)

Look this is for athend7, leroy, kevin, michael, nicole, scott and the rest of you haters. You are so dumb, you accuse him of being a pedo. but how can you know and what proof do you have that he did all of that? You are just dumb tabloid junkies who believe stories started and spread than Diane Dimond. Any one with a working brain who looks at this objectively will know that he most likely did not do it and I guess all of you dumb haters are conceited enough to think that you know more than the 12 jury members who actually saw the evidence and heard the whole case. I agree michael should have been honored long time ago and its a damn shame that that nothing was said or done until after his tragic death and now his kids are out in the public eye which he(Michael) would have never allowed because until his tragic death nobody really knew if Michael had kids cuz he (Michael)kept them out of the public veiw so they would not have to be treated like their father was even though Michael was a super star the public didnt treat him like one and Im sure that Michael would be disapointed in his family for letting the kids be exposed to all of the hype that being famous does to the heart,mind, and soul so personally if I had MIchael's kids or the control of them ,they wounld not be out in the open just like Michael kept them hidden for their safety and everyone knows why espeically Michaels family so I think that Michaels wishes should be honored. What a shame to have those young children on the stage - their father must be rolling over in his sarcophagus. He would never had permitted them to be that exposed.

We'll never know whether or not Mr. Jackson was a pedophile. Certainly he had some boundary issues. Mature, well adjusted adult males in their forties do not sleep in the same bed with children who are not their own.
