Prince Jackson Breaks His Silence at Grammys

Prince Jackson took to the stage Sunday night at the Grammys and spoke in public for the first time, stunning the audience with an emotional speech about his late father. In accepting Michael's posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award, the reclusive 12 year-old choked up while thanking fans for their support since his dad's death. "Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him," he said in a soft-spoken voice. He also touted the goodness of his beloved dad: "Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love."

The brief speech quickly became the most sincere and poignant moment of the evening, with every member of the audience standing and listening in awe as the shy Prince spoke.

Paris also spoke but very briefly, saying, "We love you daddy." She of course made a touching speech at Michael's memorial service, which was held under the very same roof as the Grammys, Staples Center.

Prince: First of all, we'd like to thank God for watching over us over these past seven months, and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. Through all his hard work and dedication, he has helped many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs, his message was simple: Love. We will continue to spread his message and help the world. Thank you. We love you daddy.

Paris: Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was going to perform this year, but he couldn't perform last year. Thank you, we love you daddy.

It made me sick. It was obvious that he was being forced to do it. He looked just scared to DEATH. He could hardly speak he was so frightened. It was WRONG for the Jacksons to put them out there like that. Some people have no sense at ALL. And just TRY and tell me the speach thanking their grandparents, one of whom beat their father, and the other that did not protect him like a mother should, was not written by Joe Jackson.

My favorite part was how they slipped up. Paris has blue eyes. She is in no was related to Michael. At his giant telivised memorial service, they made her wear dark brown contact lenses to make to look more "mixed." She wore her glasses tonight though, and those big baby blues were glowing.

Stop exploiting the kids, Jacksons!

Stop blaming the Jacksons for Prince and Paris being on stage. They are at an age now where they can make there own decisions.
I'm sure no one forced them to appear.

They will probably go alot further in life than some of you MJ haters.

Leave the poor kids alone.

Michael Jackson brainwashed his kids into thinking he was great. What father would put masks on his kids, dress them weird, isolate them from society. He was a dope addicted pedophile who had the people brainwashed too.

My children's father left us and hasn't bothered to even TRY to see them in over 2 yrs. Doesn't even call to see if they are dead or alive. He is their biological father ONLY now. Michael Jackson didn't have to bother raising ANY children let alone 3 and from what I can tell they hold the utmost respect for him and that is a true testimony to the kind of person he was. My children sadly don't have this kind of positive legacy.

What a bunch of trumped up bs. Michael Jackson was not this boys father. You see, Michael WAS a black man. VERY black until he bleached his skin. So genitically, his bleached skin was not passed down to these kids. Good luck to these two young children growing up in such a sick disfunctional family.

Yes you are right he bleached his skin and he is not the biological father, that is why prince mj has vitiligo. He found a way to lie about the disease and get a sperm donor with the disease. You are so right and so smart.

Well, that made me cry. Those poor kids miss their dad so much, and you can feel his presence almost when they spoke...it was lovely. They both spoke from their hearts that is for sure. You can definately tell they are Michaels kids...sweet, pure, innocent, sincere...adorable kids. He obviously did a good job bringing them up and it shows. God bless Paris and Prince Jackson. And to all you NASTY VILE people with nothing nice to say...SAVE IT! IF YOU CANNOT SAY SOMETHING NICE THEN JUST DO NOT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL!

Prince and Paris did a WONDERFUL job! They are NOT being exploited, they simply accepted an Award for their FATHER.{And rightfully so, they ARE his CHILDREN, and old enough to do so. ( Any of us would have accepted an award for OUR father.)} BRAVA!, Prince and Paris, you did the right thing !!

Calm down it's an award, who else should accept it, the children will be fine, life will go on and MJ was proud wherever he is in the universe. Remember children are resilient, they can get through things much better than adults

I personally thought this tribute was beautiful. It touched my heart deeply. What baffles me is that the world waited until his untimely death to honor him. He was a man of grace, beauty and love. For 40 years he has left the world in awe, such amazement. Just like millions of people, I idolize this man. I study his dance moves, listen to his music, hell I even sing his songs in the shower. lol XD. I just wish the world took the time to embrace this legend and take the time to understand him. For 40 years of his life he was devoted to music. Every single second,minute,hour,day,week, month,year and decade was devoted to his craft and the world records,rewards,awards and fans show that it payed off. SO please, respect this man that gave us beautiful music for 40 years. As for the children, I hope they grow up and aspire to be the humanitarian their father was.

She did not wear contacts at the memorial, her eyes were blue there as well and Joe Jackson has blue eyes. They are jacksons whether you like it or not and they wanted to talk about their dad. They are mj's children biological or not. You must think the jacksons are as jobless as you to make her wear contacts and then foget to put them in this time.
