After much speculation, Taylor Swift was joined by Fleetwood Mac's leading lady Stevie Nicks at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Swift opened her performance with 'Today Was a Fairytale' and then announced, "It's a fairly tale and an honor to share the stage with Stevie Nicks." Both women sang Fleetwood Mac's 'Rhiannon,' and then Swift then grabbed her guitar to sing her hit 'You Belong With Me.' Nicks stood back, tapping her tambourine and to share singing duties with the young artist.
Taylor Swift, who was second to Beyonce in Grammy nominations with eight nods, won three early awards, including best country album. Though the 20-year-old has won just about every award imaginable over the past year for her best-selling CD "Fearless," she was wide-eyed and emotional when she accepted her trophy for the country album.
"I just keep thinking back to when you're in second grade and you sing in the talent show for the first time and people joke around and say, 'Maybe we'll see you at the Grammys some day.' But that just seems like an impossible dream," she said. "I just feel like I'm standing here accepting an impossible dream."
As much as I love Taylor Swift...she continues to be HORRIBLE live! No power in her voice, she misses all the high notes, ugh...its embarassing watching Taylor win ALL these awards, only to see her perform terribly! And really Stevie?! You lowered yourself to sing BACK UP for that tripe? You're so much better than that...

I agree her singing is poor.I cant help wonder how far she would of gotten on A I.There is not doubt shes a great writer but when one cant do a good job on thier own songs.She sings like a little girl,poor tone searching for the notes you name it,but teens like her and she is a very sweet young lady so keep on trucking Taylor though I wish awards were awarded based on singing rather than sales
Great performances, they do well together. Stevies turn is up, it's Taylors turn up front, that's the business. But they sounded freakin great, maybe some studio work together.
THANK GOD FOR PRO-TOOLS. Taylor has pitch problems. Randy Jackson would have had the field day with her not Simon. Good song writer and great producers and master mixers, but she sucks live.
You could see how excited Stevie Nicks was to be there; as in, she wasn't. Taylor Swift may be a great country singer but she should not being singing "Rhiannon", especially while making Stevie do back up!!! That's Stevie's song; always has been, always will be.

Taylor Swift CANNOT sing!! I mean really is everyone tone deaf!! I think she is an unbelievably talented song writer and that is where she should be. Let someone else sing those song that are written by a very gifted SONGWRITER not vocalist. She sounded great with Stevie Nicks? She overpowered Stevie with her screaching. I wish I could've heard Stevie. There's where talent lies. Seriously, I have been involved in the music industry and have this is truly hype. Karaoke at best.
i 100% agree with u..im losing respect for the Grammy Awards and how they are chosing the artists..Something isnt right here and the talented artists are getting ripped off....
I really like Taylor Swift's music, but have always thought as you do, that she is a gifted SONGWRITER - her voice isn't really pleasant. Stevie Nicks was the one on stage with the awesome voice.
I totally agree!!!! Taylor is a good songwriter, but SHE CANNOT SING!!! It was torturous listening to her perform. It is really disappointing that they are making such a big deal out of her and her pointy little face!
Taylor needs to sing not tell fairy tales her music is for Jr. high not even older high school definely not for the grammys i feel like im in 8TH grade

Well duh here it is in country form. I just makes me shake my head when people go on and on about what a great singer she is. She can not sing a note live. It is all studio magic.
