When it comes to cooking, Food Network chef Anne Burrell scoffs at fast food "junk" and believes every person is capable of making a great (and better tasting) meal at home. And that is her latest attempt on the new reality series 'Worst Cooks in America,' as she and chef Beau MacMillan lead contestants through a "culinary boot camp" in hopes of enhancing their cooking skills. While that task was definitely more difficult than she ever imagined, Burrell tells PopEater that there's hope for everyone because even she has had a few food faux pas of her own. Watch PopEater's exclusive interview with Chef Burrell as she dishes on the 'Worst Cooks' finale, the plans to open her first restaurant and why she refuses to throw her hat into the 'Iron Chef' ring just yet. >>

In my humbled opinion Anne Burrell is one of the best, if not the best, chef on TV today. She works with, or did, work with Mario Batali and need I say more than that. She is an excellent teacher as well. I watch her Foodtv show, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and learn more from her than any other chef on that network. She needs a show of her own that really showcases her talents as a chef and no doubt that if she did decide to run for an Iron Chef, she would win.

This is THE most asinine program I have ever seen. You take people who cannot cook and what do you do, give them advanced cooking right off the back. How the heck do you think they can cook some of this stuff when they can cook eggs, or fry without burning stuff or whatever? I have been a darn good cook for 30 years and some of this stuff I would probably stuggle with like the stupid tappan cooking. Who the devil does that except restaurant people? It is unrealistic and terribly embarrassing for folks who truly want to learn how to cook. Maybe if you started with more basic techniques, this show wouldn't be so outright revolting!!!!

I can understand your frustration. However cooking is trial by fire.. sometimes the best way to learn is by jumping in head first. I know this because im in culinary school and sometimes mistakes are a great learning lesson. Im sure they do some practicing off air, im sure they study on their own..
She looks like a world class softball pitcher.

I find that she is riding on the coat tails of Mario. I have never seen her cook anything that was not scripted. She needs to clean up here appearance and above all, please stop whining and trying to be cute.

Why does Anne Use SO MUCH SALT?

For the same reason that Paula Deen uses so much BUTTER!
LOVE Anne Burrell! She speaks in a way that is easily understood, if you watch her in her own kitchen cooking show, "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef"! LOVE HER teaching technique; "Happy Girl!"

Anne Burrell - someone REALLY REALLY needs to tell her to stop using that DEEP voice..."BIIIG MEAT!" Really!!! It makes my skin crawl and makes me cringe EVERY time she uses that voice. It has to be one of the most annoying things on TV!!!!
