At the Grammys, John Legend read out Taylor Swift's 'Fearless' while presenting the album of the year award. Swift beat out favorites 'The Fame' by Lady Gaga and Beyonce's 'I Am ... Sasha Fierce' for the night's big prize. Now, we don't think she necessarily deserved the award. We even go as far as saying that she won because of Kanye West. His highjacking of her VMA speech may have been the best thing that ever happen to the country singer.
But we wanted to know what you thought. So we asked -- did she deserve the album of the year? Well, over 29K voted and 50 percent of people didn't think her album was worthy.

TELL IT LIKE IT IS!!!! They are just mad because country is taking the world over, people have decided they are tired of dirty dancing, drinking,drugs,bad mouthin, DUI,arrests and want some down home actual good hearted people that know how to act in public.

Taylor Swift deserves all of her awards. The bare bones of music is the songwriting. She's got that down. As far as her voice, she writes her songs to fit her range and delivery. Seems there's another esteemed songwriter and performer who couldn't carry a tune in a bucket -- ah, yes -- Bob Dylan. He never has needed to hang naked from a wire, jump into a blaze, or stomp up an aisle with 6-inch heels and a military entourage either.

Bravo Songbird! I wanted to say the same thing! I only wayched the Grammies to see Michael jackson's children accept his award and the song and picures before were awesome! When I saw that MESS with the tin soldiers I was ready to give up and let my grandson watch his Mickey Mouse! Then the mess in the trapese or whatever (pink), my husband asked me "What the HELL is this supposed to be? IS this necessary?" Again, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse reruns sounded much better. After finally seeing MJ's children, and they are SO precious, I sadly (NOT) missed Lady Gaga in the fire though I saw a clip on You Tube. It was very much ridiulous!!
I am sorry but listening to her sing is like having someone run their finger nails down a chalkboard but that's just me and I wish her continued success in the future just as long as I don't have to hear it...

Go watch Dreamgirls again and see who the singer is it certainly isn't Beyonce and underneath the woman is bald and to be honest her voice is weak, let Taylor have her moment to shine. Quit being so petty!

Who listens to Swift besides teenage girls? Album of the year? What a joke. Grammy used to be about the excellence of the recording, the production, the sound. Now it's just like the Billboard awards that are given for sales figures, not quality. And what to 20 background dancers with all these acts have to do with the recording process? Nothing.

i believe the gramy and any award show is a joke. there is more important issure in the world today then who pay someone to buy they cd so they can look important. taylor swift is the biggest joke of them all, she only won because of what happen with keny west. people get a real life, there are real issure going on in the world. award are stage by the people who run the shows.

Not NO, but Hell NO! Taylor Swift is a bopsy teen who is still getting it together. Album of the Year should have more than 1 or 2 good songs on it. Personally, I didn't like any of them. She was so disgraceful to Stevie Nicks music, I was like shut up so I can hear Stevie's awesome voice. Was she told to sing louder than Stevie so she couldn't even be heard? No, again just a bopsy teen getting it together. So many groups deserved that award & have we forgot about metal, plenty of metal bands pumped out some awesome songs. I'm with the several people who spoke out negatively about the awards, they are not fair.

I will again say that Taylor cannot sing!! The girl needs to stick to writing songs. She is a very gifted songwriter. She needs to write songs for another teeny bopper and stay away from giving me a headache. The music industry has kids (and some adults) buying into the facade she can sing! They did it with Britney. Maybe they should have her lip sync her performances like Britney and she can sound like her mechanically inhanced voice. Wonders what technology can do!! Anyone who thinks this girl can sing either is tone deaf or has bought into the hype!! Don't get me wrong she is talented, but it is with her crayon, not her voice!

Taylor Swift was by far the best nominee in this category. Shes a great singer, a talented writer and can actually play a musical instrument. Artist like Lady Gaga and Beyonce are great but they are not a triple threat like Taylor Swift.

Lady Gaga plays the piano, Taylor plays a guitar( anybody can do that), Lady Gaga writes music, Taylor writes music( Lady Gagas music sells more and critics grade it better) Lady Gaga dances, Taylor Swift sits on a stool! taylor swift SUCKS, Lady Gaga is AMAZING and lady gaga deserved the award. It Sold Better, did better with critics, had more #1's, and the songs wernt sappy and all the same
