'Boston Legal' Actor Justin Mentell Dies in Car Crash

Actor Justin Mentell, 27, died in a one-car accident in rural Wisconsin on Tuesday morning after his car had gone down a steep embankment near Blanchardville, Wis., and hit two trees. Police said Mentell was not wearing a seat belt. According to the Iowa County Sheriff's Department, Mentell was pronounced dead at the scene around 9 a.m.

He played attorney Garrett Wells on 'Boston legal' from 2005 to 2006 and most recently starred in 'G-Force' with Zach Galifianakis.

According to reports, the actor was born in Texas and attended high school in Waukegan, Ill. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.F.A in Acting in May of 2005.

The sad part of all of these postings is this is about a death and all of you are arguing among yourselves!! Pathetic people. Bottom line is the is tragic. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Chances are folks he was drinking.I hope I'm wrong, but that's usually the story, or I should say the end of the story for most drinkers and drivers and all the innocent people they take with them.

I'm 56 year old black woman and have seen and heard more than most of you and I don't think Marcus meant to say anything bad, he already said it was a typo, I know many blacks who use the words whitie, cracker, pasty-face and many other nasty words many are not really racist and many are and the same is true for whites, so, stop being nasty to each.

why the sound off about seat belts - seat belts in passenger autos are useful at speeds up to 40 mph - most crashes happen at speeds of 40 or less - over 45 and it does not make much difference and at high speed (by us standards) of 75 mph+ the designs in cars sold in the us are not of much use and can cause serious harm - he was a good actor and his death is a loss to his art and family and friends - show a little respect

Heart goes out to the family and hopefully he went
quickly, without pain, and enjoyed the years he had.

Genie - I am also an EMT and I'll tell you, I've pulled quite a few dead people out of seatbelts, they drown when their car overturns in water and the buckle jams - any EMT or police officer who tells you they have never pulled dead people out of seat belts is a liar. I've done it too many times...

Children should always wear a seatbelt, but I'm an adult and perfectly capable of making that decision for myself. I don't need our "nanny" govt. treating me like a child. I have no dependents, so the risk I take by not wearing seatbelts is mine alone.
