Arrest Imminent for Michael Jackson's Doctor?

Conrad Murray, the doctor who gave Michael Jackson what turned out to be a lethal dose of drugs, is facing an imminent arrest, according to media reports. TMZ is reporting that Murray plans on surrendering on Wednesday morning, while RadarOnline is reporting that Murray has been meeting with his legal team for several days working out the terms of his potential defense if and when the case goes to court.

TMZ reports that Murray will be charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of Jackson.

Murray was at Jackson's side on June 25, and gave the King of Pop a lethal dose of Propofol -- a powerful anesthetic often used in surgery.

The timeline after that final dose of Propofol is what has caused many to be suspicious of Murray's involvement in Jackson's death. According to police reports, Murray gave Jackson the drug at 10:40, and noticed he had stopped breathing at 11 a.m. However, it wasn't until 12:20 that a 911 call was placed reporting the medical emergency. During that 80 minutes, Murray made three other private phone calls that totaled 47 minutes.

Murray has maintained that nothing he did that day would have led to the death of Jackson, despite the fact that the Los Angeles Coroner's Office found lethal levels of the drug in the music legend's body.

A law enforcement official told the Associated Press on Tuesday that Murray will be charged with manslaughter rather than taking the case to a grand jury.

"Dr. Murray is in Los Angeles for a dual purpose - on family business and to be available for law enforcement," said
spokeswoman Miranda Sevcik. "We're trying to be as cooperative as we can ... We continue to maintain that Dr. Murray neither prescribed nor administered anything that should have killed Michael Jackson," Sevcik said.

Murray was brought on as Jackson's personal physician in the run-up to Michael's marathon schedule of concerts in London.

How can dr. murray say he is innocent if coroner found lethal
dose of profonol in Jackson's body. Excuse me. Mistake

I know someone who died at a hospital after receiving meds for back pain, doc said it was respiratory arrest,coroner said heart attack. cops did nothing, I was told too bad, " she was seeking drugs." she was only 44 years old and wasnt fat. Hmmmm whats really going on here?

Dr Murray, a licensed medical professional, is bound by his medical oath and training to refuse these requests for inapropriate drugs and/or prescriptions. This is a legal, as well as a moral issue. How do I know? I am a licensed medical professional. I have been asked to sell or give away the remaining drugs that we "waste" (dispose of) after a surgical procedure. It is illegal and imoral to do so. I DON'T DO IT. There are boundries, and Dr. Murray knew better than to give these meds, and doses. It doesn't matter if Michael asked, Dr. Murray could have and should have said NO. If your family member asked a Dr to give these same drugs and he/she did and your family member died....would you feel the same?

Murry is a licensed profesional medical provider; he did not adhere to the standard of care for his patient, MJ; if I gave you a gun and said shoot me, would that make you any less culpable? The doctor is responsible; this is very evident. Michael would still be alive with his children and his legions of fans were it not for this "doctor".

I was told that this is the same DR. that James Brown had and now they are looking into his death even if Micheal was on drugs that Dr. took an oath and he knows right from wrong even if he asked for more as a Dr. you know better. It wasnt like Micheal gave it to him self

Well no matter who his doctor was this would of happened. If it wasn't going to be Conrad it would of been another doctor. Bottom line is he was getting paid a lot and I am sure Michael kept telling him more, more. Sad situation all around as he was a very talented singer and also left three beautiful children behind.
