Arrest Imminent for Michael Jackson's Doctor?

Conrad Murray, the doctor who gave Michael Jackson what turned out to be a lethal dose of drugs, is facing an imminent arrest, according to media reports. TMZ is reporting that Murray plans on surrendering on Wednesday morning, while RadarOnline is reporting that Murray has been meeting with his legal team for several days working out the terms of his potential defense if and when the case goes to court.

TMZ reports that Murray will be charged with involuntary manslaughter for the death of Jackson.

Murray was at Jackson's side on June 25, and gave the King of Pop a lethal dose of Propofol -- a powerful anesthetic often used in surgery.

The timeline after that final dose of Propofol is what has caused many to be suspicious of Murray's involvement in Jackson's death. According to police reports, Murray gave Jackson the drug at 10:40, and noticed he had stopped breathing at 11 a.m. However, it wasn't until 12:20 that a 911 call was placed reporting the medical emergency. During that 80 minutes, Murray made three other private phone calls that totaled 47 minutes.

Murray has maintained that nothing he did that day would have led to the death of Jackson, despite the fact that the Los Angeles Coroner's Office found lethal levels of the drug in the music legend's body.

A law enforcement official told the Associated Press on Tuesday that Murray will be charged with manslaughter rather than taking the case to a grand jury.

"Dr. Murray is in Los Angeles for a dual purpose - on family business and to be available for law enforcement," said
spokeswoman Miranda Sevcik. "We're trying to be as cooperative as we can ... We continue to maintain that Dr. Murray neither prescribed nor administered anything that should have killed Michael Jackson," Sevcik said.

Murray was brought on as Jackson's personal physician in the run-up to Michael's marathon schedule of concerts in London.

I do not believe this was done on purpose. I am sure Michael was sneaking drugs to sleep also. Between all of them Michael lost his life. Michael had been doing drugs for years and I blieve he hadbuiltup animmunityto them and tha is where the overdose came in. Why would ths doctor do this when he was being paid such a hig salary and being Michaels attending doctor. I hope heis not convivted on gronnds that Michael was a known drug user for years. This was not intential.

i agree with don. how can powerful drugs be found inside his blood but Murray is still innocent? it shouldnt take this long to "investigate". Conrad Murray gave him a drug that caused Michael's death so therefore, he killed him. whether or not it was intentional, Michael died because of Conrad Murray. It's so simple, arrest him already!

I agree. The oath he took as a doctor meant nothing obviously. I've had surgery I've seen what it looks like and it knocks you out quick. It's NEVER meant to use outside of a hospital surgical setting. My aunt is a nurse and flipped out when I told her what was in his system. Adding to that Conrad Murry 80 minutes of "making phone calls"? C'mon now..covering his a** that needs taken down and he wasn't liscensed to practice in CA that I remember and I find it odd he had a practice in Vegas where Michael's dad lived while Katherine lived in LA....

Why has he been loose for so long. He should have been arrested & charged before the funeral, for manslaughter and had his license tossed in the shredder. Just because he came from Beverly Hills ? He got special treatment. He gave multiple meds to a patient outside a hospital...Drugs that were never meant to interact. Drugs that were only supposed be given by a licensed anesthesiologist in a hospital surgical suite. He let money sway his judgment and he took an oath "to do no harm" He needs to stand trail and serve his time.

This is such a good news. At least it shows that we are putting forward the justice for Michael. This fatal doc may deny all his responsibility and blame it all on Michael's demand for the drug. How can he now defend himself?
No matter how many lies Murray is going to tell and how he present to be innocent, he cannot get away with the fact that he left Michael helpless on the bed for 80 mins without breathing. Does Murray has the intention to save a life? After all he is a doctor not a phone operator, isn't he? If he didn't know how to recuse him, why didn't he call 911 right away.
So much I have the doubt on what actually behind the screen, so much I want this Murray to go to jail. This is the justice for Michael.

I shudder to think if Jacko's Dr. was white. There would have been all kinds of civil rights suits filed against the cracker along with the charges Dr. Murray already faces. The cracker would have faced felony charges ranging from a hate crimes to violating the 14th amendment. Cracker dodged a bullet on this one.

First off M J was a child molester not a legion If this DR did give him to much then yes he should go to jail he is a dr and knows how much is to much. I do not like to see anyone die before their time, he was young man and a lot of people saw past the fact that he molested young boys, then paid off the familys so he would not go to jail. It is terrible that he is dead but I for one will not miss him, I never liked his music except when he was young and still black, you know the Jackson 5.
