Sorry, Wrong Taylor: Concert Mix-Up in England

Taylor Swift fans in Merseyside, England have received some disappointing news, after a local newspaper confused the Grammy Award winning country star with newcomer Taylor Bright, BBC News reports.

The Liverpool Echo announced that Swift would perform at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Junior School on Monday. But it was actually Bright who was scheduled to perform for the 480 students.

"I have no idea why they thought Taylor Swift would be performing at St Margaret Mary's when she was in America picking up her Grammys," a spokeswoman for Taylor Bright said. "It must have been a slip of the tongue."

Now, with issues arising over security, the kids won't even get the other Taylor! The school has decided to cancel the concert altogether.

"Taylor [Bright] was very confused about what happened and very disappointed that the performance had to be canceled," her spokeswoman said. She also claims that the false announcement was made to a stadium of 40,000 people at a recent Liverpool soccer game.

The newspaper has apologized, and is making a donation to the school to make up for their misprint.

Taylor Swift should get a few singing lessons . When she stunk up the stage the other night with Stevie Nicks. Stevie let her have just enough rope to hang herself before she stepped in to lend a hand. Taylor thinks she is very hot stuff, but she can't sing live on stage.

The point was not how many albums she has sold, but how poor a performance she gave at the grammy's. Even my daughter and wife, who are big Taylor fans, said it was a very poor performance. Some artist just need to stay in the studio to produce their music. She is so talented, but will really hurt her reputation if she keeps showing such poor vocal range while performing live!

I'd rather see Taylor Bright...at least she may know how to carry a tune. Anyone with ANY musical background knows Swift can't sing. She gets away with 'sing-talking' on all those god-awful bubblegum songs because she's cute. If she were unnattractive we'd never know her name, despite how much her Daddy might have invested in her.

Actually, the ratings don't prove Panama Red wrong at all. If you read the statement correctly, it stated that she cannot sing live. Guess what, if you can't sing live, you CAN'T SING!!! The CD is what was recorded in the studio, and unless you were there during the recording, you don't know who you're actually listening to. Trust me when I tell you, a lot of CD's sound good because of studio magic, not talent.

For someone who cant sing Taylor Swift sure can sale out all of her LIVE concerts with in the first 2 minutes tickets go on sale (every concert). Not bad for someone who cant carry a tune.
Beyonce doesn't seem to do that, but she did get more Grammy's than Taylor.
Maybe Panama Red just has his head way too far up his own butt.
But then who really cares.

Kanye West was the best thing that ever happened to Taylor Swift as far as I am concerned. I guess people still feel the need to have pity on her for what Kanye did to her. She has no talent whatsoever. She should thank Kanye for every opportunity that she gets.

She had many opportunities BEFORE the Kanye incident. She was standing on stage accepting an award BEFORE he ran up and interupted her - point proven! The only thing the Kanye incident proved is that he is a low-life.
