Jack Nicholson's Daughter Lands Role in Surfer Shark Attack Biopic

Like father, like daughter for Lorraine Nicholson (right), who at 19 is making her movie splash in a biopic about surfer Bethany Hamilton (left), who in 2003 lost her arm after she was attacked by a tiger shark in Hawaii. Nicholson will play the best friend of Hamilton in the film.

Nicholson will portray Anna Blanchard, sidekick to actress Anna Sophia Robb's portrayal of Hamilton, the Daily Mail is reporting.

Lorraine isn't the only celebrity offspring to land a role in the film. Sean Bronson, son of former '007' star Pierce Brosnan, will play Hamilton's brother Noah.

Hamilton says she's "excited" about the movie, and offered some insight as to how and why the casting choices took place.

"They wanted a one-armed person doing it and that's not easy to find ... But it will be intense seeing people playing my family and me," she said.

Bethany Hamilton is a very brave young woman. I read her story a couple years back and thought "wow, what a kid!" Her faith in God and the love and support of her family and friends is what kept her going. All I can say is that I got "finned" by my surfboard, got 55 stitches and I'm still nervous paddling out. I'm chicken sh*t and is "the sh*t!!!!

I cant wait to see the movie either. It sounds like something I would watch. And Jack had a pretty daughter, I didnt know he had any so young still, I thought they were all grown by now. I bet Jack is proud of his daughter following his foot steps.

Just wondering...
As for the topic, privileged little "aliens for Uranus" do not excite me simply because they use their parents name to book a gig, and then exploit the fact to gain publicity. The general storyline is inspiring, but the ones chosen to act it out only cause my eyes to roll and breathe, here they go again. (meaning Hollywood pushing their no talent kids down the publics throats, and not holding them to the same standards of auditioning that others would be held to).
