Mel Gibson Gets Angry, Calls Reporter An A**Hole

Even though it has been nearly four years since Mel Gibson's notorious anti-semitic tirade, he still isn't ready to talk about it just yet. While promoting his latest film 'Edge of Darkness,' Dean Richards, an entertainment reporter for Chicago's WGN-TV interviewed the actor but the exchange turned sour when Richards asked the following: "Do you think the public will perceive you any differently after all that's been in the news about you?"

Gibson responds defensively, "That's almost four years ago, dude ... I've done all the necessary mea culpas. Let's move on." Of course, the interview quickly wraps up -- but not before Gibson mutters, "bye bye, a**hole" under his breath. Watch:

In 2006, Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious slanders at police officers. The report says Gibson launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

Alice, you forget one thing about "The Passion of the Christ". Jesus was Jewish. His mother was Jewish.

Answer to Alice. I am not a religion fanatic. However, as far as I know, wasn't Christ supposed to die, anyway, to save us for our sins? So who cares who did him in. If his destiny was marked, then, lets thank "the people from Israel" for help him fulfill it!! And if you think they control everything the solution is in your hands, stop putting your money in 'their banks', buying food and clothing so 'they will not increase their fortunes' at your expense', stop reading and watching TV so they will not get you and if they indeed control politics then... (i think on this one you are really screwed) on this one I do not know what to suggest, maybe a nice one on one with a Smith and Wesson 'counselor' would do. (no I am not jewish)

If he was interviewed about his movie, that reporter should have never mentioned it.But I believe that all of us have cussed out some people, or races, or religions and we have to move on. But there are always people, who do not let go. They are like pitbulls and will not let go.

Good for Mel. If that man was interestd in the interview about the Edge of Darkness he would have acted like it. Why should Mel Gibson kiss his keester anyway. Mel is the star and this interviewer is some no name low paid jerk if that is how he treats people that take pitty on him and gives him an interview.

Its really funny. If a democrat or a black person makes a derodatory remark and then later apologize(even if they dont mean it) they are forgiven. Leave Mel Gibson alone already. Its over and done with. As I have said before everyone in this country has prejudice in them. EVERYONE. They may deny but they do. Words dont mean diddly squat. Reporters have to learn to report news and quit trying to create it.
