Mel Gibson Gets Angry, Calls Reporter An A**Hole

Even though it has been nearly four years since Mel Gibson's notorious anti-semitic tirade, he still isn't ready to talk about it just yet. While promoting his latest film 'Edge of Darkness,' Dean Richards, an entertainment reporter for Chicago's WGN-TV interviewed the actor but the exchange turned sour when Richards asked the following: "Do you think the public will perceive you any differently after all that's been in the news about you?"

Gibson responds defensively, "That's almost four years ago, dude ... I've done all the necessary mea culpas. Let's move on." Of course, the interview quickly wraps up -- but not before Gibson mutters, "bye bye, a**hole" under his breath. Watch:

In 2006, Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious slanders at police officers. The report says Gibson launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?"

You call that angry...Please....I'am ready to bet that Mel can show you angry if he's really angry...that was really nothing...he attends a Latin Mass and the Mea Cupa is sited in prayer in that Mass...great reference for the point he was making..and yes he was right too....the reporter was acting like a a-hole....and by the way...the movie is great with a wonderful ending...........

VERY Old news. He was there to promote a new movie. What he said in the past has nothing to do with this now. Furthermore, what he says in his private life, no matter how offensive, has nothing to do with his ACTING. He's an ACTOR folks, not a politician.

Ok--here's the problem when you say "I've done all my mea culpas" the way Mel did it's obvious he didn't mean them--they are not meant to be just words...he's a jerk and confirmed it when he "thought" the interview was over and called the guy an a..h....! I won't see another Mel Gibson movie and those who against racism of any kind should do the same.

Mel Gibson has a right to his thoughts and opinions just like anyone else in this world. What's the big deal? Do you want to live in a world where everyone is afraid to utter a word,in fear of offending somebody? Everything in life is offensive to somebody,get over it! And I think Israel does control most American politics(both sides),along with the Religious Right Mafia.

I used to absolutely love Mel Gibson, but he seems to really have gone off the deep end in the last several years. His new movie looks good, but I just refuse to see it because I can't stnad him anymore.
