'Sex and the City' Actor Willie Garson Finalizes Son's Adoption

Stanford's having a baby! Well ... kind of. 'Sex and the City' actor Willie Garson is officially a father -- after having begun the process of adopting 8-year-old, Nathan, a year ago. The adoption was finalized in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the actor told PEOPLE. "From the first time I met him, I said, 'That's my kid,' " Garson, 45, gushed.

Nathan moved in with Garson in February, where he is adjusting nicely to his new life with more opportunities. "He's going into third grade, plays baseball, goes to karate, and has a posse of pals."

Back in August, Garson talked about bringing Nathan to New York City when he filmed the 'SATC' movie, in which he'll reprise his role of Sarah Jessica Parker's friend Stanford Blatch. "I think he's going to be freaked out when we go to New York, where [the cast] are like the Yankees," jokes Garson. "We can't walk 20 feet without being mobbed."

The upcoming 'Sex and the City 2' hits movie theaters May 28.

Nowhere in the article does it state that actor Willie Garson is gay; the character he played on SATC was. You obviously jumped to your own conclusion, as ignorant bigoted rednecks like you are prone to do. Whether he is or not is none of your damn business. Go have sex with your Sarah Palin sex doll and stay off the internet.

If Sarah is too busy to carry her own babies and has to pay someone in Ohio to do it for her, then the gay guy can have a child that's already here. Love is adoption not science experiments.

Sarah didn't pay someone because she was too busy, she had several miscariages after the birth of her son, yet she and her husband still wanted to expand the family of three.

Congratulations on the adoption! As a married gay man in Massachusetts, it is refreshing to hear of an adoption (whether gay or straight) that is all about the love for the child and making sure that their future is bright. I used to live in Florida and gay adoption is very difficult so kudos to California and to Willie!

The world in the hand of straights is full of pedophilia, murder, adultery, and lots of other bad things. Every group has it's bad people. So don't pinpoint gays as they are wonderful people who contribute more than most know. Yawn. Really?? It's 2010 people! I honestly didn't think that gay-bashers and bigots still existed. You'd think those people would get with the times and realize how ridiculous their "argument" is already.
Personally, I say kuddos to Willie for opening his home and heart to a child who obviously needs it.
Not to mention: (Not that it matters), why is everyone assuming that Willie is homosexual? I don't recall him ever stating that.
Yes, he portrayed a homosexual FICTIONAL character on Sex and The City, but . . . that's my point : FICTIONAL.
Going by your logic, I suppose that Ed Harris is Ludwig van Beethoven. I mean, he played the part of Beethoven in "Copying Beethoven", so ... he must be! Sheesh.
