Sandra Bullock Bets Against Herself in Oscar Race

Keep this in mind when making your office Oscar pool picks - even Sandra Bullock doesn't see herself winning. "I'm so not winning an Oscar," said Bullock, who received her first Academy Award nomination for the leading role in 'The Blind Side.' According to the actress, we can take that prediction to the bank.

"Nine times out of ten I always pick who's going to win," Bullock told reporters at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (via PEOPLE). "And I already know who's going to win. I'm not going to say, but nine times out of ten, I'm right."

"I have to say, all the ladies in our category, we don't care who wins," she added. "Someone's going to win and the rest of us will be really happy for whoever won. We're just happy to be here. And we like the company we're in."

"I'm so bad at taking in compliments or flattery. I'm better taking in the bad than I am the good. So I'm trying very hard just to be present and enjoy the moments," she said, but joked that receiving the nomination is not the relaxing victory she thought it might be. "I said, 'OK, where are the bonbons and champagne?' No one brought me any. They just told me I had to work. So I'm like, 'OK.' "

The life of an Oscar nominee is filled with the same everyday tasks, Bullock said, but she's not complaining. "You go home and you have to pick up dog poop – and we have a two-legged dog," she explained. "To me, that's not mundane, though. Life is tricky enough that I actually love and embrace the normal day-to-day rituals. You get up, you make your coffee, read your paper, you do the school run, you go do your things. I'm just lucky that I get to do them."

Sandra has a of class, more than anyone else is holly wood for sure. She is not one to blow her own horn, like some others do in her line of work. Sandra is as smart, beautiful and intertaining as anyone else in holly wood. I cant think of anyone who would deserve an oscar more than her.

I just love her to pieces. It's true though, she wont win an Oscar this year...that's a given. Maybe one day, as soon as the Hollywood PTB give her better scripts to work with. But just the same, She is simply adorable and down to earth. I don't see her as defeating at all.

Sandra Bullock is so humble, caring of others and should have a high self esteem, as she's for me, a very valuable actress, in the league of Shirley McClain, Sally Fields, Olivia Dukocus, Rachel Welch, Sophia Lauren, Lauren Bacal, and so many other well known and admired actresses. I spoke with Racquel Welch years ago on the phone to do with business. She is extremely full of herself. So not in the same category as Sally Field and Sandra Bullock. Sally Field went to my High School and is very down to earth and a great actress.

It's all a bunch of Bull crap. Same winners each year so why even watch and waste your valuable time. Sandra has more class in her one finger nail than most of those has beens have. Julia Roberts is getting sicken to look at and that fake laugh is enough to turn you against movies to watch.

WTF??? Sandra and Jesse make a beautiful couple. You can clearly see they are in love with one another. You sound like a snob who has no idea what it is like to look for the qualities a person has to give to their mate. I would love to know what your husband looks like and what he does for a living!
Jesse is a manly, man and seems super sweet. I would much rather have a manly looking man than one who spends more time in the mirror than most women.

I certainly hope Sandra Bullock loses her bet. I think she has done one heck of a job this year with The Proposal and of course her nominated Blind Side. She deserves the win. As much as I love Meryl Streep who is in a class by herself as an actress, I still would like to see Bullock get the oscar and I really wish she does.

Meryl only EVER won 2 oscars, what do you mean your tired of here winning, I think you mean "tired of her being nominated, lol. She is the most female in the history of the academy awards that has been nominated for an award, but she only won 2 for those nominations...

Meryl Streep is certainly in a league all of her own, and Sandra Bullock is an awesome actress in her own right, both these women are well worth going to see in theater or on the stage. Natural born actresses, keeping your interest always.
Marissa Tormei, too is another terrific actress. Loved her playing alongside Al Pacino in a theater performance of "Salome."
