Howard Stern Says 'F-ing Maybe' to 'American Idol'

The
Howard Stern 'American Idol' rumors are no longer just rumors. On Monday, the shock jock addressed the situation on his radio show, saying he'd accept a seat in the judges' booth for the right price.
"They'd have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough," Stern said on Monday. That wasn't all he said, though it was probably the least offensive thing that came out of his mouth...
Rumors that Stern would take
Simon Cowell's soon vacant seat emerged last week after the
New York Post ran a story suggesting he is Fox's first choice for the position.
'American Idol' is "one of the few shows that could compete with Stern's $100 million a year Sirius contract," a source told the paper. "'Idol' bosses think he'd be even nastier than Simon."
Howard proved just how nasty he could be on the air Monday, claiming he would "tase"
Ellen DeGeneres if she does that "dumb dance" she does on her show, and "smack Randy Jackson's belly every time he opens his dopey mouth."
"For $100 million a year, to judge a karaoke contest? Ok. Why not?" he said.
One reason he might not take the job is that he's notoriously afraid to fly. He told listeners that he turned down an invitation to appear during
Conan O'Brien's last week at the 'Tonight Show' because he didn't want to book a flight to Los Angeles.
But money talks. Not that Fox will shell out $100 million to secure The King of All Media. Cowell makes about half that for his work as a judge. But Howard knows he just might be worth it.
"Name a person who could bring more excitement to that show than me," he said.
Certainly, the show would be a different 'American Idol' than the one we're used to with Howard at the helm.
"First of all, I would have straightened out that
Adam Lambert," he said. "The kid had more publicity than anyone and he f---ed up. And Number 2, I wouldn't even put through that good looking kid who won, that
Kris Allen. He never would have even been through."
Howard had sharp words for season 3's winner Fantasia, as well -- though he may have been mistaking her for someone else.
"Hey
Fantasia... Little boys are scared that you are going to sit on them. You're out. Honey, you look like you stepped out of a Haitian earthquake. You've got to go clean up your act."
But Howard isn't all hater all the time.
"I like that song," Stern said of
Larry Platt's "Pants on the Ground."
"He'd be in Hollywood right now, that guy."

To be honest, I dont think American ldol will be family friendly with him on.
Put your values and love on everybody if you want, but I assure you, that if that talentless nut goes on Idol, it will be just like when they tried to put Rush Limbaugh on Monday Night Football. I won't watch until he's off. Promise you that. And I have opened my ears and eyes and have seen NOTHING that would constitute talent. And as for millions and millions of listeners and fans equating talent, I suppose you think that all the millions of people that watched Anna Nicole Smith live her pitiful drunk and intoxicated life meant that she had talent? Idiot.
Howard is a PIG. No ifs, ands or BUTTS!!!! He has ZERO talent (you can't call swearing and ogling women and their body parts talent), and he knows ZERO about the music industry. Why oh why would he even be considered as a judge? Did we all forget the year Howard started the "vote for the worst" campaign and that creepy/talentless Sanjaya ended up in the top 12 because of it?! That was Howard's doing. Think he's qualified now??? He's a dirt-bag of the worst kind!
Howard WHo?? I thought he died a couple of years ago....no kidding He`s still alive?

It kills me to read these idiotic posts from people who have obviously never heard Sterns show. First off, he is a seasoned professional who does not need "bleeped" on Letterman or Conan so he won't need bleeped on Idol. He is smart enough to follow the rules. Second, he has lots of talent. Sure there is some "adult" humor with strippers etc on his show. Guess what people, I don't like it either so I tune out during those segments. I love his take on pop culture, on the news and everyday family life. He would do Idol a huge service if he took the seat and I would watch just as much as I watch now or maybe more. College educated, upper middle class, father of 3, married 15 years this October and avid Stern listener. Get the facts or at least experience something before you post ignorance, it makes you look silly.

Scott, You are 100% correct on this one, Right On
Oh I've listened to about as much as I could take. He is ridiculous. Why can't you just understand and accept that not everybody likes what you like. Why does it mean that nobody has listened to him because they don't like him. Is it that you can't accept that because you like him everybody else is supposed to? Get over it, he's a loser and I can't stand him. I have experienced the pain of sitting through his crap called a show. It's degrading and a waste of time.
Scott, i TOTALLY agree with you! I am 42, married for 22 years, a professional WOMAN and I love Stern. Mention his name and people cringe only because they never took the time to listen to his show and yes, i change the station when he has the strippers ride the sybian because that's not my thing but i do agree with alot of his points and he is honest. I never watched AI myself but would start if Howard was on. I dont think they would have to bleep him at all. He's not as bad as people think.
He's a crude, rude, vulgar, obnoxious individual, that thrives on
obscenity!
Yeah great, get someone who's so afraid of women that he constantly has to put them down to feel manly...that'll really go down well with the female audience (or anyone else over 16.)

Idol would definitely lose many viewers. Having Stern on the panel would put the show in the pits. We don't need more fowl mouthed people on TV - particularly on a show that families enjoy.

Howard Stern is a Natural for this job. Idol can only WIN big time no matter how much they pay for him. Idol would be Foolish to pass this Opportunity up. Stern would Exponentially increase Idol's already extreme Profit Margin!!!

Good Lord - he is an arrogant pig and a poor excuse for male! If he truly replaces Simon - I refuse to watch the show ever again! I can't imagine that Ellen will put up with his antics.

If this happens I'll eat my shorts. Show me your ti#s and you're through. I can see it now.

get rid of that talentless kara dioguardi first and foremost. then have susan boyle, ellen, and chris matthews join randy jackson. these four judges could make AI great again.
PahhhhhHHHHlessssEEEEeeeee. No ! Let me predict this ...The first time Howard talks about his small " junk " --I will hurl majors hairballs like an epilectic cat on twinkies !
Make Kate Perry a judge so at least I can look at something nice and juicy beside that perpetual pimple on Howards nose .
Ewwwhahh !
