Howard Stern Says 'F-ing Maybe' to 'American Idol'

The
Howard Stern 'American Idol' rumors are no longer just rumors. On Monday, the shock jock addressed the situation on his radio show, saying he'd accept a seat in the judges' booth for the right price.
"They'd have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough," Stern said on Monday. That wasn't all he said, though it was probably the least offensive thing that came out of his mouth...
Rumors that Stern would take
Simon Cowell's soon vacant seat emerged last week after the
New York Post ran a story suggesting he is Fox's first choice for the position.
'American Idol' is "one of the few shows that could compete with Stern's $100 million a year Sirius contract," a source told the paper. "'Idol' bosses think he'd be even nastier than Simon."
Howard proved just how nasty he could be on the air Monday, claiming he would "tase"
Ellen DeGeneres if she does that "dumb dance" she does on her show, and "smack Randy Jackson's belly every time he opens his dopey mouth."
"For $100 million a year, to judge a karaoke contest? Ok. Why not?" he said.
One reason he might not take the job is that he's notoriously afraid to fly. He told listeners that he turned down an invitation to appear during
Conan O'Brien's last week at the 'Tonight Show' because he didn't want to book a flight to Los Angeles.
But money talks. Not that Fox will shell out $100 million to secure The King of All Media. Cowell makes about half that for his work as a judge. But Howard knows he just might be worth it.
"Name a person who could bring more excitement to that show than me," he said.
Certainly, the show would be a different 'American Idol' than the one we're used to with Howard at the helm.
"First of all, I would have straightened out that
Adam Lambert," he said. "The kid had more publicity than anyone and he f---ed up. And Number 2, I wouldn't even put through that good looking kid who won, that
Kris Allen. He never would have even been through."
Howard had sharp words for season 3's winner Fantasia, as well -- though he may have been mistaking her for someone else.
"Hey
Fantasia... Little boys are scared that you are going to sit on them. You're out. Honey, you look like you stepped out of a Haitian earthquake. You've got to go clean up your act."
But Howard isn't all hater all the time.
"I like that song," Stern said of
Larry Platt's "Pants on the Ground."
"He'd be in Hollywood right now, that guy."

I agree, Mr. Stern has no respect for women or children and I would not watch AI again if he was a judge - neither would my children.
That will be the end of "Idol". What a freak show..

Howard Stern is an overpaid radio jock. Please cant they find someone with more appeal and more knowledge of the music busines....If they want nasty..there are plenty of old rockers who can be insulting but who do understand music. I love Ellne but she also is not a music maven..so their choices eem to be waaay off. I'll probably enjoy X factor more with Simon and Paula. In fact, they should offer a contract to Lewie from X factor. He knows how to be insulting but he also knows how to spot talent.

What would be wrong with getting someone who is a very talented professional singer, someone who is respected and been in the music business for a long time...Good musicians are better at recognizing talent than ones who have no musical ability...Get rid of the moovies celebrities on the panel and replace them with REAL judges of talent, people who are famous and respected musicians, preferrable lead vocalists.

Only teenaged boys will watch AI if this pig goes on. Sern is a nasty immature pig. No one I know likes stern, no one I know would watch Idol again. Stern cant even speak with out the f word in every sentence. Its sad that this pig is even being considered for the job. Or is this simply a publicity stunt, It sure looks like one to me. Ellens name was thrown out there, and now stern? Makes me wonder.

Howard can't make it, so he's sending Beetlejuice to take his place.

Stern's a pig. I can see it now,"turn around let's see yer ass", absolutely no class.

All of you haters are simply ignorant. Howard is the voice of America. He's outspoken and obviously very successful. To say he has no talent is absurd. He wouldn't be where he is if he had none. Listeners put him there and those listeners are you!! If he's not a relavent candidate, then hy would the show even consider him?? Get with it, people!!

He has no MUSIC talent, bleeeb!!! M-U-S-I-C, S-I-N-G-I-N-G!! His "talent" lies in being a radio DJ with a filthy mouth. PERIOD.
