Howard Stern Says 'F-ing Maybe' to 'American Idol'

The
Howard Stern 'American Idol' rumors are no longer just rumors. On Monday, the shock jock addressed the situation on his radio show, saying he'd accept a seat in the judges' booth for the right price.
"They'd have to pay me a ton of dough because I already make a ton of dough," Stern said on Monday. That wasn't all he said, though it was probably the least offensive thing that came out of his mouth...
Rumors that Stern would take
Simon Cowell's soon vacant seat emerged last week after the
New York Post ran a story suggesting he is Fox's first choice for the position.
'American Idol' is "one of the few shows that could compete with Stern's $100 million a year Sirius contract," a source told the paper. "'Idol' bosses think he'd be even nastier than Simon."
Howard proved just how nasty he could be on the air Monday, claiming he would "tase"
Ellen DeGeneres if she does that "dumb dance" she does on her show, and "smack Randy Jackson's belly every time he opens his dopey mouth."
"For $100 million a year, to judge a karaoke contest? Ok. Why not?" he said.
One reason he might not take the job is that he's notoriously afraid to fly. He told listeners that he turned down an invitation to appear during
Conan O'Brien's last week at the 'Tonight Show' because he didn't want to book a flight to Los Angeles.
But money talks. Not that Fox will shell out $100 million to secure The King of All Media. Cowell makes about half that for his work as a judge. But Howard knows he just might be worth it.
"Name a person who could bring more excitement to that show than me," he said.
Certainly, the show would be a different 'American Idol' than the one we're used to with Howard at the helm.
"First of all, I would have straightened out that
Adam Lambert," he said. "The kid had more publicity than anyone and he f---ed up. And Number 2, I wouldn't even put through that good looking kid who won, that
Kris Allen. He never would have even been through."
Howard had sharp words for season 3's winner Fantasia, as well -- though he may have been mistaking her for someone else.
"Hey
Fantasia... Little boys are scared that you are going to sit on them. You're out. Honey, you look like you stepped out of a Haitian earthquake. You've got to go clean up your act."
But Howard isn't all hater all the time.
"I like that song," Stern said of
Larry Platt's "Pants on the Ground."
"He'd be in Hollywood right now, that guy."

And that would be the very problem with him on the show. They'd be bleeping every other word. It's a family show and a lot of kids watch the show. There are venues that are perhaps? more suitable for Mr. Stern. However, I can't think of a one!

I'd def. stop watching the show. Howard is bad enough on his own show...he knows diddly about good talent. It would be a total joke.
Well there goes the show for sure - if they put Howard on Idol I will never watch this show again. It's a show for kids mostly to encourage them that they can do things with their lives and try out for plays, acting, and singing ect. If they put Howard on Idol it will be a big mistake!
I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT THINK OF WHY ANYONE IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD
WANT THAT GOOD FOR NOTHING STERN ON ANY SHOW OR RADIO. IDOL IS AN AWESOME SHOW AND I LOVE ELLEN, BUT STERN RANKS UP THERE WITH
CHARLES MANSON AND RUSH LIMBAUGH.
OMG! Stern is worst person in the world to judge a talent show. He has no talent and only has a following because he gets women to flash him on his show. No wonder AI is going to the dogs!

If Howard Stern is a judge, I won't be watching, and it makes me sad, because I've watched every idol since the beginning. What are they thinking? They will lose many viewers. Please say it ain't so!!!

start watching...should be very funny!!!
I will be so done with the show, It sure has gose to the dogs can`t stand that guy.
I'm with you, there is no way that I will watch Idol again. He wouldn't know talent if it bit him on the nose.....
He's not worth a penny! He would give American Idol a bad name.

I AGREE===I HAVE BEEN A BIG IDOL FAN, NEVER MISS A SHOW, WILL NOT WATCH IF THEY BRING IN STERN===UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All of you people are just haters. Howard would be awesome on AI, and I GUARANTEE all of you who are bashing him would watch it every episode. And guess what, the show would be #1 still with good ol' Howie. Anyone who thinks Howard is talentless needs to open their ears and eyes up a little bit, because millions and millions and millions of listeners can't be wrong. If he had NO talent, why would they be courting him? Get a life and stop hating.

No you are absolutely wrong, we would not be watching, and that would be the end of American Idol for us.
YA YOU MUST BE PRETTY BORED TO LISTEN TO HIS TRASH.
WONT BE LONG AND THEY WILL GET RID HIM. hE SO OVER PAID..
That would certainly guarantee that I would never watch another moment of Idol. The guy only makes money because he is vulgar. I caveman could do what he does.
