Gary Coleman Gets Birthday Gift: Guilty Plea, No Jail

Gary Coleman spent his 42nd birthday pleading guilty in a Utah courtroom to a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge related to a domestic violence incident last April. A deal was made to shed the original charge of domestic violence assault. His lawyer, Randy Kester, said that the argument between Coleman and his wife, Shannon Price, "was just a disagreement" that got out of hand.
The 'Diff'rent Strokes' actor was sentenced Monday to 31 1/2 days in jail, but will serve time only if fails to complete a course in domestic violence and pay a $595 fine.
"I think it's an exceptionally fair resolution," Kester, told the AP. "He's been under an extreme amount of stress."
Kester hinted that consideration was given due to Coleman's health problems, which include a kidney condition and heart surgery that was complicated by pneumonia last fall.
Coleman, 41, was apprehended Jan. 24 in Santaquin, UT, after a "civil disturbance" was reported from his home. He was arrested after police found he had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. The court appearance was related to charges filed in August for domestic violence assault and criminal mischief, all stemming from an incident on April 18 of last year.
After spending over a day in jail, a
fan came forward to post the $1,725 bail. Coleman was seen leaving in a wheelchair and told RadarOnline.com that the experience was "absolutely miserable."
Price was arrested last year on domestic violence charges as well. The couple married in 2007, and have been making headlines ever since with public spats. Still, there's no confirmation that Price was the victim of Coleman's alleged violence.
Weeks ago, Coleman was rushed to the hospital after reportedly suffering a seizure. He was released shortly after checking into the hospital.
Coleman moved to Santaquin, about 65 miles south of Salt Lake City, in 2005, around the time he starred in 'Church Ball,' a comedy based on basketball leagues formed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He met Price on the movie set.

Some Hollywood celebrities can be so pathetic. They looked so ugly in their mugshot. By the way, Gary Coleman is definitely a loser. Imagine him running for California governorship back in 2003. Please.
