Simon Says Yes to New Gal Pal?

In addition to the upcoming launch of his new show 'The X-Factor' and the millions he's already earned as a judge on 'American Idol,' celebrity music mogul Simon Cowell has one more reason to turn his notorious frown upside down -- the company of the lovely Mezhgan Hussainy, reports the
Daily Mail.
Cowell and Hussainy, a 36-year-old make-up artist, were pictured driving away from Mr. Chow restaurant in Knightsbridge, London, this past weekend, the first time they have been photographed together.
The couple met in 2003 on Cowell's television juggernaut 'American Idol.' "Simon and Mezhgan started off as friends, but it has started to develop into something more," stated an anonymous source. "She is a great girl, she is down to earth and not in the least bit starstruck. They get on extremely well."
The relationship started after Cowell's break-up with model Terri Seymour. Hussainy has her own relationship baggage: her former boyfriend, web design company boss Alejandro Saavedra, moved out of the couple's Sherman Oaks home last March. Saavedra, 31, said that Cowell had "really turned Mezhgan's head" and that he "couldn't compete" with the superstar judge.
Hussainy was the star guest at Cowell's 50th birthday party last year. She has appeared on 'Sunset Beach' and 'The Bold and the Beautiful' (presumably as one of the "beautiful" ones). Her family fled their native Afghanistan due to fears their three sons would be taken into the army by the Taliban. The Hussainys spent nine months in Pakistan before moving to the U.S.
Cowell may well have met his match in Hussainy. She has called Cowell "a piece of cake" and has said that "his bark is much bigger than his bite." I guess time will tell who has the loudest bark and sharpest bite.
Cowell, 50, is infamous for his withering criticisms of musical contestants on 'Pop Idol,' 'The X-Factor,' 'Britain's Got Talent' and 'American Idol.' He created a media storm with his recent announcement that he would be leaving Fox's top-rated 'Idol' to develop an American version of 'The X-Factor,' which is slated to debut on September 11, 2011. He previously signed a $33 million per season, five-year contract to judge 'Idol' in 2006.

Wow, Simon goes out in public for the first time with his supposed new girlfriend and she has to sit in the back seat? And they've been keeping this a secret since 2008? I guess they spent a lot of time inside. And she was the star guest at Simon's 50th birthday? Then why was Simon sitting between his Mum and Cheryl Cole at the party? Someone needs to do a lot of fact checking here. When will anyone ever figure out who Simon is REALLY in love with? It's nobody from Afghanistan.
