Alec Baldwin Briefly Hospitalized Over Daughter's Concerns -- Report

'30 Rock' actor Alec Baldwin was rushed to a New York City hospital overnight after his daughter thought he was being unresponsive, according to various reports. A law enforcement official told the Associated Press that Baldwin and 14-year-old Ireland had been arguing, and she told 911 that he had threatened to take pills. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity.

According to various accounts, when police and medics arrived at his apartment, Baldwin was awake and agreed to be taken to the hospital for examination. He was driven to Lennox Hill Hospital, where he was treated and released an hour later.

Baldwin's publicist issued a statement calling the whole thing "a misunderstanding on one person's part." The statement said Baldwin is "completely fine and will be at work" on Thursday.

The Emmy-winning actor has no known history of illness. Baldwin's relationship with daughter Ireland was the source of a 2008 scandal involving phone messages in which he berated her as a "pig."

Alec been in your shoes, my X took my son from me after he maried me for a green card (I didn't know it then) but anyway he did everything possiblle to keep him from me,and my family it worked 10 yrs didn't see him,when i did wasn't the same kid,I had lost him forever.Possining 1 kid's mind is terrible I use to like your X years ago BUT been hatefull is not my thing,she is at that I believe,I'm not into games eighter -aperently she is and your daughter is in the middlle.....my son now maried and is just like his father (not good) BUT we talk cuz I never gave up on us! don't give up on her and hoping your story turns out much better then mine. OK now good uck on your daughter i do feel for her learning hate,and what she is missing out to be with you.

You're blaming a child. They were arguing, he threatened to take pills, he stopped responding to her (probably his "good" acting) so she got scared and called 911. I would think that being the "adult" he could have handled the arguing situation a tad better. An adult "actor" can play it to the hilt when there's people around but a child would get scared especially if it's law enforcement and tell the truth as to what was going on. I think Alec made some bad choices again.

Alec is a nut case and a drunk. She may be a spoiled brat, but I still feel sorry for his daughter, Ireland. She inherited as parents, two people who don't have a clue as to even the basics of parenting. She won't amount to anything, either. She has two negatives going against her; bad genes, bad environment.

Alec Baldwin is a stuperstar. A Hollywood tinseltoilet clown prince. Like "special children" and "special education", stuperstars are treated as precious sacks of DNA. Mostly because of their access to the corrupt massmindless media. He is in and out of an emergency room, in NYC, in one hour. Widdle people like mugging victims, war veterans, pregnancies, heart attacks are thrown up the walls like trash so Whacko Alecko can get his "moment" with the douchebag medics. Sickos all.

I can't believe you just posted that. This is a 14 year old girl, he is a grown man. He threatened to take pills and was unresponsive. I think she acted responsibly and very much like someone that is mature for her 14 years. Shame on him, my father pulled this same ploy and it's not pleasant for a child to have to go through. It's frightening and she did the right thing. Seems her mother has raised her right. This man is the nutcase. He needs help. You know, admiring someone for their acting skills is one thing, admiring for being less than good role model as a father is another.

There goes shared custody of Ireland, Alec. Good job. That 14 year old you were arguing with is the same girl you called up and chewed out over something incidental a couple of years ago. Typical behavior of an alcoholic to cause drama, hurt and pain, then apologize, then wait a while and do it all over again! You have just given your ex wife all the ammunition she needs to keep Ireland away from you. And don't go blaming her, either. Get yourself to rehab, and bring your drunken brothers along with you so your entire family can heal.
