PopEater Poll Results: How You Voted on Ellen's 'Idol' Debut

Ellen DeGeneres began her run on 'American Idol' as the replacement judge for Paula Abdul.

In her two episodes, we saw Ellen take her place next to Simon at the judges' table, and watched as she critiqued her way through the gruesome Hollywood week.

What did PopEater readers think about her first days on the job? Is she better suited for her talk show or 'Idol'? Does her spot on the singing competition make you more likely to watch?

· Does Ellen make you more or less likely to watch 'American Idol'? Her appearance on the show makes 54 percent of over 41K voters less likely to watch.

· After her first week, how did she do? The vote was split. Fifty percent of over 36K say she's a great judge but the other half think that she'll never replace Paula Abdul.

· Surprisingly, however, Ellen came in second in the favorite judge poll, beating Kara DioGuardi and Randy Jackson. Simon Cowell earned 61 percent of the vote, Ellen had 21 percent, Randy garnered 11 percent and Kara came in last with seven percent.

· In the end, which of Ellen's gigs suits her best? A whopping 94 percent of nearly 31K voters think it's 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' and not 'Idol.'

She is a disgusting, perverted, pathetic Hollywierdo. Anyone who spends 10 secs watching her show is almost as whacked as she is. I never watch Idol but now I wouldn't watch if you paid me.

I thought Ellen rocked. American Idol needs something very different, like her humor. The way she asked contestants to move forward, move left, move back, you are all through was hilarious. She also looked really good next to Simon which is a difficult task. I hope she is around for a very long time.

Enough with all you women's love affair with Ellen. She's the most narccistic person in showbiz. Notice how she enters her show; dancing, smiling and so giddy as if to say "LOOK at Me. Aren't I wonderful" And my opinion has nothing to do with her being Gay.

I can't stand Ellen, don't even watch her talk show. Now I stopped watching IDOL. Once Simon leaves, the show will loose more viewers. Get rid of Ellen and bring back Paula.

My husband and I (married almost 24 years) loved Ellen. She is a sweet soul, regardless of her sexual preference, and we would qualify ourselves as straight up Christians, love her. She has a sweetness and genuine love of people, how can you not love her? I don't care what anyone says, she is entertaining and a beautiful person. There is a joke in my family that she is my husband Mike's celebrity crush--
