Brooke Mueller in Rehab for Substance Abuse?

Brooke Mueller has checked herself into rehab, TMZ.com reports.

According to TMZ, Mueller checked into The Canyon facility in Malibu on Feb. 9, the day after her husband Charlie Sheen was charged with felony menacing and misdemeanor assault for allegedly attacking her on Christmas Day in Aspen.

RadarOnline.com claims that Brooke is battling addiction to crack and alcohol. "Brooke has been in denial about her problem for a long time," a source says.

"Her mother has been attempting to convince her to go into rehab for a while now," the source adds.

Back in January, several outlets suggested Mueller went to rehab after being released from the hospital, although her lawyer denied it.

TMZ says that Mueller's possible struggle with substance abuse could hurt the prosecution's case against Sheen.

The children are the ones that always end up paying for a drug using parents. If shes on crack, you can bet the farm hes using it too. Where is CPS on this case? They should be all through the home these two fools share. If CPS dont step in, someones been paid to stay away.
If it was the average 'Joe' he would have already had a visit from them. But since its 'good ole charlie',, you can bet hes paid someone with cps to back off. Yes, it can happens.

Appears that both the Sheehans are a total mess and need help. I feel badly for their children. This is a typical trashy Hollywood family who lost control of themselves and their lives a long time ago. What happened to the Paul Newmans and many more who led decent quiet and pretty normal lives-- while being mega famous???

That she entered rehab certainly opens the question about whether she was really the "innocent" in all of the dysfunction and abuse. Unfortunately for Sheen, it is apparent that he was unable to control his temper when things got crazy.

Just another case of a woman thinking she can change a man. The ink wasn't even dry on his divorce papers with Denise and she thought she snagged a good one? He threw Denise under the bus and he'll do the exact thing to Brook. He's been with HOOKERS and apparently that didn't stop when he was married to Denise. He's a sick man and will ruin anyone who get's involved with him. The sad thing is, all of these marriages are producing babies who will eventually be the ones who suffer.

I'm grateful to hear some women speak up on this issue.

Being male and having been taken advantage of by a manipulative pretty little thing the likes of Brooke, rehab never did her any good. She'd take what she would say to me was a little vacation to get out of legal wranglings and or child abuse charges. And then go right to the liquor store when she got out if not before. Blowing 30k at a time. She'd get drunk, raise all kinds of hell and I've paid for her behavior for years. And somehow I've always been at fault even when divorced from the wretch.

Charlies no saint but I've felt from the get go on this that her mouth was way ahead of the facts in the case. However, given my experience I don't see her changing her story either.

That makes sense. I always thought you had to be a crackhead to marry and have kids with Charlie Sheen. Oh and any of you donkeys claiming that she probably lied about him threatening/abusing her, ask Kelly Preston to show you the scar he gave her when he SHOT HER IN THE ARM while they were engaged.

The entire Sheen family is wierd. Same with the Baldwin family. If you had to live with any of them, you'd do substance abuse too. That is if you didn't jump off a bridge first.
