Grieving Lady Gaga Toning It Down at Brit Awards?

Lady Gaga is reportedly so upset over the death of fashion designer Alexander McQueen that she is refusing to perform as planned at tonight's Brit Awards. Instead of the large-scale performance she had planned, Gaga wants to move forward with a stripped-down set that would have her appearing on stage alone in a black leotard for acoustic versions of one of her hits, according to MTV UK.

"The whole performance was ready to go. But when she turned up for final rehearsals on Monday, she announced she is too upset about Alexander McQueen to do that performance," a source told The Sun. "She says she's changing everything. She wants to wear an all-black outfit and do sombre versions of her music as a tribute to him."

The eccentric singer was originally scheduled to perform an elaborate medley of her biggest hits, including 'Poker Face,' while wearing a "water dress" and driving a beaten-up car full of musical instruments.

Gaga was an "unofficial muse" for McQueen, according to his publicist. She debuted her hit single 'Bad Romance' at his Spring/Summer 2010 runway show during Paris Fashion Week last fall, and he styled her for the song's video. Everything in the video, from her opening number gold jacket and razor glasses to the 10-inch skeleton inspired pumps and the now-famous Armadillo heels, were all McQueen originals.

Give me a break. I love her. She's totally different and unique...unlike any other performer out there. What we don't need is another Britney, Beyonce or God forbid......Taylor Swift!!! And besides, her voice is absolutely amazing!!!

Gaga is talented, but does she really need to be so odd? Her performance with Elton John was awesome and then I had to look hard at her face. It was like somebody smeared grease on her face and she didn't notice. If you think that is not odd, but creative, then I guess I don't know what creative is anymore. She can be creative without looking like a dirty 2 year old whose mom forgot to give her a bath.

I think that McQueen's styles were cutting edge and quirky and I liked them. He was part of the Lady Gaga experience. She is very bright and talented young lady and I think she can design as well as he did.
You go out there and sing your heart out for him girl. He gave you the start now go and knock them dead.

Wow. If he truly is the inspiration behind Ugly Gaggags' grossly disturbing eyesore style, then I can't say i'll miss him much.....not that I really cared to begin with. Just like he didn't seem to care about any of the people who "loved" him, when he foolishly took his own (single) life. =/

Once again I am asking "Hate Much?" You have to give the girl credit for showing the world what she likes and not careing what everyone thinks. She has an amazing voice and talent. Give her the credit she deserves! Open your mind to new things and stop all the hate. At least she is real and doesn't change to suit everyone else in the world like most preformers.
