Oprah Says No Way to John Mayer

John Mayer's disastrous Playboy interview in which he dropped the N-word and told naughty bedroom secrets about Jessica Simpson is too much for even Oprah Winfrey to handle. Oprah's couch -- which has been a platform for dozens of celebrity apologies and explanations -- isn't open to the guitarist just yet. Why? Because O is great pals with one of John's exes! Inside scoop on Oprah's snub, plus a special Matt Lauer and Al Roker surprise is coming ... after the jump!

Oprah's Not Talking to John Mayer

Whenever a celebrity does something stupid, they often end up begging for forgiveness on Oprah's sofa -- but not John Mayer. Apparently, he's going to have to find someone else's shoulder to cry on, because the talk show queen is refusing to have the attention-seeking singer on her set. Oh, Johnny-boy, you know you've done bad when Oprah won't let you boost her show's ratings!

"Oprah is the smartest person on TV and will not let John use her or her show to ask for forgiveness," a TV insider tells me. "If John really wants to apologize for his racist and sexist comments, he should find somewhere else. The only way Oprah, who is a dear friend of Jennifer Aniston, would ever book him is if John were interested in having a much deeper conversation about race, women and fame."

So, Mr. Mayer: Stop whining about being misunderstood and start thinking about the words you use -- because it isn't just Oprah who doesn't want to listen to you anymore! And with your mouth, you should maybe consider Maury Povich or Jerry Springer before someone classy like Oprah.

Matt and Al's Olympic Surprise

Who could forget the sight of Al Roker and Matt Lauer at the Beijing Olympics in August 2008 performing rhythmic gymnastics in cat suits on the 'Today' show? Best produced TV moment ever. Well, stay tuned because sources tell me that TV's Batman and Robin are preparing to entertain us again.

"Al and Matt are the first to laugh at themselves and have fun on camera, and they are planning another hilarious surprise. It's still in the early stages, but they are planning something even funnier than their famous rhythmic gymnastics routine," an insider tells me.

No wonder 'Today' has been the number 1 morning show for the past 14 years. These guys really know how to have fun. It's too bad Katie Couric went all serious on us... she'd look so sassy in a sparkly ice skating outfit!

Pedigree Dog Food Upstages Prada!

Who would have thought that the best party during New York Fashion Week would be thrown by Pedigree Dog Food just 48 hours before The Westminster Dog Show commenced at Madison Square Garden.

Dining beneath a whale at the Natural History Museum along with Bernadette Peters -- watching amazing people being honored by Pedigree's Geoff Browne for helping dogs in need and finding loving homes them -- taught me that kindness to animals is something that never goes out of fashion!

Everyone needs to get off their soap box - He's not the first or the last to say it. He only said the "N" word outloud which, most people think anyway and don't have the guts to say it. How can ypou expect others to not use is when the black folk refer to each other the same way.
If the black people don't want to be called the dreaded "N" word than I suggest the majority of them quit acting like one.

Look around you and honestly think about how many decent black people you personally know. Bet you can count them on 1 hand if you're lucky. Watch the news, who are the ones who, besides the mexicans, murder or rob on a daily basis?
It sure aint the white folk.

Its time for Oprah to let the show go. Make room for some other people. I used to watch the show religiously but I'm done. And she is really getting on my nerves about the things she has been doing lately and I am shocked! Make room for some more talented people and please say goodbye Oprah!

what does he need to apologize for..? he was making an intellectual statement that obviously only intellectuals can appreciate...i believe his statement was something to the effect that he couldn't get an official "hood" pass unless he was able to utter the "N" word in public...in other words, hood passes are only given to people who can get away with saying the "N" word on albums, cd's, rap music, etc and we all know who those people are... so, john was right...and oprah is wrong...and it looks like oprah just doesn't fall into the intellectual class anymore....

It is too ironic that N**** is used constantly in music lyrics, written by all black people, and they shoult it too each other in greetings, etc.; but, let a white person utter the word and all HELL breaks loose. The bottom line is if you want respect from others and do not want them to utter the word, regardless of race, then do so yourself. Its like a gang member wanting payback because someone killed their brother when their brother got killed for killing someone elses brother. Geesh People!
