John Mayer's disastrous Playboy interview in which he dropped the N-word and told naughty bedroom secrets about Jessica Simpson is too much for even Oprah Winfrey to handle. Oprah's couch -- which has been a platform for dozens of celebrity apologies and explanations -- isn't open to the guitarist just yet. Why? Because O is great pals with one of John's exes! Inside scoop on Oprah's snub, plus a special Matt Lauer and Al Roker surprise is coming ... after the jump!Oprah's Not Talking to John Mayer
Whenever a celebrity does something stupid, they often end up begging for forgiveness on Oprah's sofa -- but not John Mayer. Apparently, he's going to have to find someone else's shoulder to cry on, because the talk show queen is refusing to have the attention-seeking singer on her set. Oh, Johnny-boy, you know you've done bad when Oprah won't let you boost her show's ratings!
"Oprah is the smartest person on TV and will not let John use her or her show to ask for forgiveness," a TV insider tells me. "If John really wants to apologize for his racist and sexist comments, he should find somewhere else. The only way Oprah, who is a dear friend of Jennifer Aniston, would ever book him is if John were interested in having a much deeper conversation about race, women and fame."
So, Mr. Mayer: Stop whining about being misunderstood and start thinking about the words you use -- because it isn't just Oprah who doesn't want to listen to you anymore! And with your mouth, you should maybe consider Maury Povich or Jerry Springer before someone classy like Oprah.
Matt and Al's Olympic Surprise
Who could forget the sight of Al Roker and Matt Lauer at the Beijing Olympics in August 2008 performing rhythmic gymnastics in cat suits on the 'Today' show? Best produced TV moment ever. Well, stay tuned because sources tell me that TV's Batman and Robin are preparing to entertain us again.
"Al and Matt are the first to laugh at themselves and have fun on camera, and they are planning another hilarious surprise. It's still in the early stages, but they are planning something even funnier than their famous rhythmic gymnastics routine," an insider tells me.
No wonder 'Today' has been the number 1 morning show for the past 14 years. These guys really know how to have fun. It's too bad Katie Couric went all serious on us... she'd look so sassy in a sparkly ice skating outfit!
Pedigree Dog Food Upstages Prada!
Who would have thought that the best party during New York Fashion Week would be thrown by Pedigree Dog Food just 48 hours before The Westminster Dog Show commenced at Madison Square Garden.
Dining beneath a whale at the Natural History Museum along with Bernadette Peters -- watching amazing people being honored by Pedigree's Geoff Browne for helping dogs in need and finding loving homes them -- taught me that kindness to animals is something that never goes out of fashion!

What about the statement that Robert Pattinson supposedly made? Is this true about Pattinson making a statement about his allergy? If so, then Pattinson and Mayer are tied for the Shoot Yourself in the Career Foot Award.

I always found it offensive to hear black men say they were only attracted to black women, no white women, no way. Now we're hearing a white man say he is only attracted to white women, also said in racist terms, and there's a huge outcry, as if nobody has ever heard such a thing. John Mayer has used and tossed aside women since he has been on the scene. It's the typical, sow your wild oats until you find a nice, family approved girl, (someone not blond, beautiful, sexy, or ditzy), and get married. John Mayer may be an a**h*le to use the n-word while white, rave about his sex life with one woman, while another, Aniston, is very publically in love with him, state a sexual preference for white women, etc, etc, etc, etc, but as long as women are throwing themselves at him, buying his music, caring what he thinks, validating him as he is, and millions are being thrown his way - why should he change?
No one needs Oprah's forgiveness. It is time the Oprah viewers turned off the TV and got to work. Oprah got where she was with hard work and sacrific...if her viewers did the same no one would watch her.
OPIE WINIFRED IS A FAT RACIST BLACK PIG
So, this moron gives a drunken interview (AGAIN), tries to say something 'deep' (AGAIN) and says something stupid (AGAIN).
Big friggin' deal.
Mayer's not a racist, he's just an a**hole.

Agreed. Mayer is just another whining little girl who spoke his mind and got caught at it. The dude is racist, and a womanizer. BFD. Everywhere you turn these days you will hear someone make some racist statement.
I think that absolutely everyone has at least a little racism in them. And I stand by that. The ones I hate more than anything are the ones that will talk openly about their personal hate for racists, and then in the same breath state they happen to have a black friend or one of a different color. These are the worst, because they are the true closet cases.
Even I am a man that doesn't consider myself racist, but I have even caught myself making remarks that show a racist side. I am not proud of it, and I do make efforts to avoid saying stupid things. I just think that it is still within our breeding and our history. I do feel that mankind will get beyond racism. I just don't think it will happen in our lifetimes. I will pray for it though...
I voted "No" to Oprah having John on her show, but on second thought, I say YES. Remember the flogging she gave that guy (Fry) who lied about his book? Yes, John would really squirm with Oprah and i'd like to see him do just that.

Please, spare me. Apparently if your white, you're a racist and that's all there is to it. Mayer is no exception no matter what he or anyone else say's or does. And Oprah Winfrey just needs to FTFU and retire already.
I agree with lolabull...if you're white, you're racist, period. No matter what is said or done in that person's life..And if they don't outwardly say something racist, well they are a racist-in-hiding..and yet minorities wonder why more and more white folk are avoiding minorities. Maybe it's cos they are sick of being called a racist then expected to not only accept the title, but have white guilt on top of it.
Regardless, I've always thought Mayer was an @ss..I can't stand the douchbag..And some words, when uttered, do actually show racism, such as the n word..I also never understood the infatuation with him. He's ugly and whenever he sings it sounds like he has a sinus infection, it's irritatingly terrible.
But the author of this article got one thing very wrong..Oprah is anything but classy. For one thing, she's got no business ever calling anyone else a racist. It's the pot calling the kettle black..
and one more thing..why in God's name does anyone like Aniston? Didn't Brad ditch the b!tch cos she wanted to focus more on her career than having kids even tho she knew, hell the whole damn world knew, when going into the marriage that he wanted to start a family right away? she's not as innocent as she plays it..
Obviously ophra is afraid she might lose that battle of wits with old John. I don't watch movies because I care about the actors preferences nor do I listen to music for the same reason. I listen to what I like and I watch what I like. The preformers are secondary. LOL...and I don't watch oprha at all because she does neither. Well, let me regress, she did do fairly well in that purple movie but as far as her, or Johns opinon? They are still like aholes and everybody has one...well most everybody..as far as I know they both may wear colonostomy bags.
I totally agree Tamra.I suggest she ask Adam Lambert back instead! ;)
So true but maybe he does not have the hots for Mayer like she does for Obama? And she don't need a ratings spike right now. Since she is on the way out to bigger and her opwn Network/T V and then its all O" 247. And no one can say or change that but her .
JOHN MAYER IS NOTHING MORE THAN A PIECE OF GARBAGE THAT YOU THROW AWAY, WHO ALSO CANT KEEP HIS JOHN IN HIS PANTS. AND HOW HE BECAME A STAR IS BEYOND ME. HE CANT SING OR PLAY GUITAR. WHAT WHAT DOES HE DO. NOTHING THAT I CAN SEE.
Reply
Actually...Mayer can play and I've heard some of his blues stuff. He's actuaklly a lot more talented on the guitar than a lot of his pop stuff you've heard on the radio has shown. It's just a shame that he can't seem to think about what he says before he says it. He may not be your favorite type of music; he certainly isn't the first artist I think of when I want to listen to something in the car...I wish he'd concentrate more on the blues directino he's done a little bit with, and learn what not to say during an interview, and I've have some more respect for the guy. No, he's not without his talents. Just learning to use a little control is a talent he could use more of.
Bernice, you can say whatever you want but to say Mayer can't play guitar is simply a moronic statement.
Yeah. John Mayer is SO untalented. That's why he attended freakin' Berklee College of Music. Yeah. He really lacks talent. -eyeroll-
NO offense, yes john was being a douchebag being publicly racist but that dosnt mean he dosnt have talent, not everyone like his singing i agree, but his guitar playing is fanominal. He has only been playing maybe 10-15yrs and plays live sows with legends like clapton and satriani, at places like g3. i other wise agree somewhat about him sharing his sex life though, keep it in your pants john.
To all of you who say John Mayer is what ever you say. And to all of those who worship Oprah: They cry all the way to the bank. I love John Mayer's music. Everyone gets drunk and says or does something dumb. Oprah, however thinks she is God's gift to humankind. I don't find her show any different than Jerry Springer. I saw Jerry Springer last month in CT, he laughs at his own show, his own guest lists, and his own themes, and he insists he laughs all the way to the bank. I hope Oprah (Or as it was supposed to be Orpah), retires and gets her big fat hands off Discovery Network and it's affiliates before she totally insults the scientific / nature minded / medical intelligence of the people who watch.
No one could love John Mayer as much he does! He's an egocentric, narcissistic twit!

That is so true! You hit the nail right on!! He is so in love with himself & I wish people would not give him the time of day!
