While customers at Starbucks have been able to pick up a CD with their latte and biscotti for years, Renaissance Hotels are now giving their guests a soundtrack to their stay. The chain, which sponsored Raphael Saadiq's most recent tour and brought him to their Hollywood location for a private meet-and-greet, is going a step further, inviting Columbia recording artist Angel Taylor to do an exclusive hotel tour. The VH1 'You Oughta Know' artist, whose 'Love Tracks' record was named a Best Pop Album by iTunes in 2009, kicked off the unique tour in Seattle on Feb. 4 and goes cross-country, hitting New York and Boston, among others, before wrapping up in Los Angeles Feb. 20. The singer is performing each night at 6:30 and the best part of each show for fans is it's free and open to both Renaissance guests and the general public. "I love being able to serenade people in their 'temporary home' (Renaissance Hotels), being able to move people by music anywhere to me, is moving further in life, not just in music," Taylor tells Popeater.
