'Guidette' Snooki Has Zero Ties to Italy (She's Chilean)

Well, well, well, look who isn't actually Italian. Snooki, alias Nicole Polizzi, aka "The Ultimate Guidette," is actually -- wait for it -- Chilean, her cast-mate Jenni "J-WOWW" Farley revealed during a visit to FOX's 'The Strategy Room' on Tuesday.

"So what does she mean when she says Guidette?" asked the semi-incredulous FOX anchor, Jill Dobson.

J-WOWW's response? "That's a stereotype that people misconstrued with Italians. It's a lifestyle. Like, the scene that we're in. It's not like Italian."

J-WOWW is open about her lack of Italian heritage; she's Spanish and Irish by descent. Snooki is adopted by an Italian family, hence her surname. J-WOWW also revealed that "Ron's not full Italian either," referring to Ronnie Magro.

This news comes six weeks after the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus criticized 'Jersey Shore' for its promotion of derogatory ethnic stereotypes (See: Profuse and unapologetic usage of the term "Guido"), calling it "wildly offensive."

Italian-American organization UNICO attacked Snooki in particular, calling her "an embarrassment to Italian Americans" and "an embarrassment to the entire human race."

Snooki responded to the criticism in typical feisty fashion, saying "F**k you! If you don't want to watch, don't watch. Just shut the hell up! I'm serious ... F**k you!"

THATS SHOW BIZ....hey Kevin Costner in "The Bodyguard" played the bodyguard for Whitney. He looked like he was about 5'2...some old lady probably couldve flattened him but there he was..playing the Bodyguard.....

Oh, please take this trash off the air!!! This is the worst group of individuals I've ever seen!! And to think that our tweens are watching this crap and thinking it's okay to act the way these morons do! Furthermore, I've never seen such an unattractive group of individuals so stuck on themselves before. Do they know own mirrors?????? GO AWAY, PLEASE!!!

If you want it to "go away" simply change the chanel OR just turn your TV off all together. See how easy that is? As for teens watching this...PARENTS are ressponsible for knowing what their kids watch. PARENTS should make sure their kids understand what is right/wrong/acceptable behavior and not rely on TV to do that for them. TV is "fantasy" and for entertainment and it's a PARENTS responsibility to over-see their kids and make sure they have proper morals and values.

Some people (for whatever reason) LIKE watching the show. Just b/c you and some others do not, it will not change that. In fact, it's got the HIGHEST ratings of any MTV reality show. And there is already a contract for a 2nd season to be shot at a different location that hasn't been announced yet. Like it or not, these people aren't going anywhere for the time being. (at least for until the 2nd season is over) So my suggestion to you is TURN THE CHANEL and worry about something else that is actually worth worrying about.

Even worse, only J-WOWW is from New Jersey!
The rest of the cast are from New York except for Pauly D who is from Rhode Island!

They can call the show anything they want and shoot anywhere they want - like next season in Miami!

JWWOW lives on Long Island.... And I don't remember MTV saying the show was about 100% Italians... Besides, if you're 1/4th Irish, and they were making a show about St. Patrick's day, wouldn't you say, "hey, I'M IRISH! I could be on that show!" Why people are making such a big deal about all this is beyond me... it's call entertainment people, if you don't like it... don't watch it.
