'Guidette' Snooki Has Zero Ties to Italy (She's Chilean)

Well, well, well, look who isn't actually Italian. Snooki, alias Nicole Polizzi, aka "The Ultimate Guidette," is actually -- wait for it -- Chilean, her cast-mate Jenni "J-WOWW" Farley revealed during a visit to FOX's 'The Strategy Room' on Tuesday.

"So what does she mean when she says Guidette?" asked the semi-incredulous FOX anchor, Jill Dobson.

J-WOWW's response? "That's a stereotype that people misconstrued with Italians. It's a lifestyle. Like, the scene that we're in. It's not like Italian."

J-WOWW is open about her lack of Italian heritage; she's Spanish and Irish by descent. Snooki is adopted by an Italian family, hence her surname. J-WOWW also revealed that "Ron's not full Italian either," referring to Ronnie Magro.

This news comes six weeks after the New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus criticized 'Jersey Shore' for its promotion of derogatory ethnic stereotypes (See: Profuse and unapologetic usage of the term "Guido"), calling it "wildly offensive."

Italian-American organization UNICO attacked Snooki in particular, calling her "an embarrassment to Italian Americans" and "an embarrassment to the entire human race."

Snooki responded to the criticism in typical feisty fashion, saying "F**k you! If you don't want to watch, don't watch. Just shut the hell up! I'm serious ... F**k you!"

How retarded!!!! "Jersey Shore" is the worst reality show ever, and the fact that most of the cast is not even Italian is even more of a joke. Wasn't the whole point of the show that they where some kind of hard core, greasy guidos? Its like doing a show about Brits, calling them limies, and casting a bunch of German, and French guys and girls to star in it.

I am Italian-American woman, I grew up in northeast Ohio were there are tons of Italians. First off I do not act like that and I dont know any Italians that act the way they do on JS so to say oh Snookie isnt Italian but she was raised by Italians so its learned behavior is a bunch of bs. Im sure her parents didnt raise her to be a foul mouthed putan! Unico is right to call the JS cast out especially Snook. It seems to be ok in this to stereotype Italians. It seems to be ok that the majority of Americans think we all are mafia related, no speaka da english, foul loud mouthed, spaghetti stained shirt, not too intelligent, greasy haired, tanned up, arrogant, womanizing bunch of dago's right b/c thats how were mainly portrayed in television and movies. Its ok to make fun of us and stereotype us in society but let another ethnic or racial group get offended and we'll have riots, protests, march's and apologies flying. We Italians are hard working, loyal, family oriented, honest, intelligent, spiritual beautiful people who contributed alot to this country and we dont need trash like the JS on tv bringing us down.
