Should Elin Attend Tiger Woods' Press Conference?

As the world waits for Tiger Woods' press conference on Friday, the biggest question is whether his wife Elin will be by his side to support him. This will mark his first public appearance since he crashed into a tree and his infidelity was exposed, so Elin's choice to attend (or not) may be the event's biggest newsmaker. She hasn't said yes yet, so we'll have to wait and see. Maybe she'll show up like Kobe Bryant's wife ... with a brand new apology diamond on her finger. Either way, we want to know what YOU think. A majority of our Facebook readers don't want Elin to attend. "I'd hate to see the wife standing there like the good little woman and staring adoringly at her hubby," one fan says.

Another fan goes on to add, "She needs to do what SHE feels is right, not what everyone else tells her she NEEDS to do. Having your personal life blow up in public is hard enough without being told by people who don't matter what to do."

Other fans believe her presence is needed for him to overcome the scandal. "Yes, she should be there if she still loves her husband and wants her marriage to work out. Forget what everyone else thinks and has to say because everyone is on the outside. No one knows what happens inside their marriage."

"She should of been by his side all along throughout their marriage. Maybe they wouldn't be in this mess," another fan adds.

Elin's choice is perhaps the dictionary definition of a double-edged-sword situation. "It's hard enough for her to try and make this marriage work after what he did to her and their children," an insider tells PopEater's Rob Shuter. "The last thing she wants to do right now is stand next to him in front of him and the world's press. What message is she sending to her daughter and women and girls around the world."

I agree with the statement that she was the obedient wife, she didn't do wrong and she didn't have to be there. It's great that she didn't she probably would have went upside his head. She did the godly thing and stay away until she got her emotions together.

Sure he would if she was worth a billion dollars. All she does is spend his money, she was a nanny, she would not have seen that money even if she was giving her bosses special attention.

Tiger should face his own personal hell alone. Elin needs to stay out of it.

And, shame on him for holding a press conference while the Accenture tournament is going on. It's one more bit of Tiger arrogance -- infringing on the spotlight of a sponsor wh(rightfully)dropped him.

The more we see into this man, the more we dislike him.

Yes, I think Tiger's wife should attend the press conference. The apology really goes to her anyway! Tiger is just another dumb-ass that thinks with the wrong head! I believe she should forgive him. HOWEVER, forgiveness and trust are two different things. I would not stand beside him until he has proven he can be trusted to not fall back into his old ways. These episodes are horribly embarassing to everyone involved. Why open yourself up for more bad news and gossip.

Certainly if Tiger and Elin decide to work things out, it should be in private and not in front of the cameras at a press conference. You know the media is dying to snap pictures of "how is she holding up." It is sad and Tiger needs much more help that those few weeks, but the fact is it is between them.

I totally agree with you. This is between Tiger and his wife. I think the only ones he needs to apologize to are his wife and family and the businesses that endorsed him. It's really none of our business.

I don't see what the harm is in a harmless blowj*b from another woman. She should be happy he can afford to have other women to do that for her.
Less work on her part. She could think of it like having a maid and/or a nanny, but then again he has a maid and a nanny. Guess now he needs a private ball washer and a happy ending. Got to love America!

Golf couldn't survive without Tiger that is a fact Bonbon ratings are down without Tiger Woods. What he did was wrong but I like Tiger the golfer he's pretty great golfer that isn't going to change and I will root for Tiger to win the golf TOURNEY's.
