Tina Fey to Return as Sarah Palin on SNL? You Betcha!

That hair, those glasses, that wink -- the Associated Press reports Tina Fey may bring 'em back, yesiree, you betcha, when she hosts 'Saturday Night Live' in April.

"It's inevitable that we'll try it, at least," Fey said. "We'll see if it makes it to air."

Try it? We'll see? Fey's impression of the Caribou Barbie was both flawless and a huge hit during the '08 election season. We'll take her quote to mean yes, we will be seeing Sarah Feylin again.

The AP story moved to quickly temper these hopes, noting, "Officials at the NBC sketch show wouldn't comment; 'SNL' generally doesn't discuss any planned sketches, given that much can change even in the hours before show time."

The April 'SNL' stint will be in tandem with Fey's new film 'Date Night,' co-starring Steve Carell.

Fey also dished about performing as Palin in a feature in this month's Vogue. "People started projecting politics onto me," she says. "There are people who hate me now because of that ... It was scary to be in that world of politics. I felt uncomfortable to be in that discussion. The weird thing is, when Darrell Hammond or Will Ferrell or Dana Carvey did an impersonation of a president, no one assumed it was personal, but because Sarah Palin and I are both women and people think women are meaner to each other, everyone assumed it was personal."

So maybe Fey won't bring out another turn as Palin? We're keeping our fingers crossed. What do you think?

Tina Fey is totally talented and hilarious. But she doesn't like Sarah Palin at all, it's clear, she has expressed her disdain at her tackiness repeatedly. Neither do journalists, actors, or academics, generally. But the unpretentious real people of America love her and identify with her and appreciate the unparalleled job she did as governor of Alaska. You have to be pretty backward not to get it, that she does better work than nearly any other politician in our memory. Forget her mannerisms, her downhome speech. This isn't about words or eloquence, it's about workable honest and understandable politics, measured by results. What we have now is a man who expresses himself brilliantly and doesn't have a clue about the direction to take the country, is out of touch with the heart of America, but clings to belief in theories which have never worked anywhere at any time. I'd like to see Tina do Sarah again, though. What talent! She does Palin great, but she couldn't do a quarter of the good Palin has already done.

admitting your ignorance about not knowing who tiny fey is/was doesnt say much for you. as far as "milking" this act, too bad! its hilarious and many of us like it. sarah palin has even been a good sport about it which is unusual for her as it seems she wants to blame EVERYONE when she looks bad. bush sr loved dana carvys impressions of him and they were not flattering.

If that's the reason why you would stop watching this pathetic show after 37 years, then you have no taste anyway. Except for a few bright spots here and there, She SNL has sucked since the 80's and the Fey/Palin skits were the only reason I've watched since Dana Carvey left the show. Go ahead, stop watching. I'm sure they're not gonna miss you. NBC will keep this show on forever anyway because the truth is, what else are you gonna put on at 11:30 on a saturday night? More Leno???? lol

The highest ratings they've received in years came from Palin's appearance alongside of Fey. Maybe SNL should have Palin do a skit about Fey being a whiney little crybaby.
