Tina Fey to Return as Sarah Palin on SNL? You Betcha!

That hair, those glasses, that wink -- the Associated Press reports Tina Fey may bring 'em back, yesiree, you betcha, when she hosts 'Saturday Night Live' in April.

"It's inevitable that we'll try it, at least," Fey said. "We'll see if it makes it to air."

Try it? We'll see? Fey's impression of the Caribou Barbie was both flawless and a huge hit during the '08 election season. We'll take her quote to mean yes, we will be seeing Sarah Feylin again.

The AP story moved to quickly temper these hopes, noting, "Officials at the NBC sketch show wouldn't comment; 'SNL' generally doesn't discuss any planned sketches, given that much can change even in the hours before show time."

The April 'SNL' stint will be in tandem with Fey's new film 'Date Night,' co-starring Steve Carell.

Fey also dished about performing as Palin in a feature in this month's Vogue. "People started projecting politics onto me," she says. "There are people who hate me now because of that ... It was scary to be in that world of politics. I felt uncomfortable to be in that discussion. The weird thing is, when Darrell Hammond or Will Ferrell or Dana Carvey did an impersonation of a president, no one assumed it was personal, but because Sarah Palin and I are both women and people think women are meaner to each other, everyone assumed it was personal."

So maybe Fey won't bring out another turn as Palin? We're keeping our fingers crossed. What do you think?

I think Sara Palin should be delighted to know that there is someone out there keeping her in the limelight and portraing her so humorously well. Tina Fay could absolutely be her double and is doing a great job impersonating her. Remember Sara, IMITATION IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF FLATTERY.

A couple of thoughts:
1. Both Tina Fey and Sarah Palin are attractive and intelligent women.
2. I don't find Fey's portrayal of Palin to be terribly derogatory.
3. I thought SNL was fair to Palin during the campaign.
4. SNL does not give Obama the treatment he deserved- not during the campaign and not now. Obama is a corrupt politician of average intelligence, who is being given a pass by the media. There is a double standard at play here.

You just know the media 'ho Palin will be overjoyed that Tina Fey is returning. Anything to feed ole winky's enormous ego. Too bad Palin's brain is so small.

Both SNL & the Sarah Palin skits have seen their day. Enough already. The audition skit looked like a high school bit.

:) I think Tina what's her name and Letterman have figured that making fun of popular conservatives will give them job security at places like NBC or CBS :)

It's kinda like CBS can't dump Couric no matter how few people watch her :)

Meanwhile, everyone that's anyone is tuned into Fox and making fun of Obama.
