Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie: Hawaiian Engagement!

Hilary Duff is set to tie the knot with her Edmonton Oiler boyfriend Mike Comrie.

Comrie popped the question to the singer-actress yesterday while the pair were vacationing in Hawaii, Duff's rep tells Usmagazine.com.

"After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news," the rep continued. "They are thankful for all of your warm wishes."

The world's media might have gotten the hint that something was up when Bauer-Griffin posted photos of just about every moment of the blessed engagement, including a shot which seems to show Comrie popping the question on bended knee. The two are pictured cuddling and then Duff is clearly shown admiring her ring finger. Bless!

You knew this one was going to be a serious relationship. Shortly after the two started dating in 2007, Comrie surprised Duff with a Mercedes-Benz G-class SUV as an early 20th birthday gift.

Duff is a frequent attendee at Comrie's hockey games and was especially noticeable when he played for the Ottawa Senators. There Duff shared the stands with Carrie Underwood who was dating Ottawa player Mike Fisher. These two have found singer-player engagement magic as well. Fisher popped the question in December.

Except for too much eye makeup, Hillary Duff looks pretty good. Pity Disney couldn't hold on to her. At least she hasn't gone skank/crazy like some of the other ex-Disney stars.

Why are people getting married so young? It's like a race to the alter...they love each other now...but will they tomorrow? People should seriously take their time getting to the alter, that way they are absolutely sure they want to be with the person they love at the moment. I wish them all the luck, but I wouldn't be suprised if they get divorced shortly after they get married.
