Vote: What Did You Think of Tiger Woods' Press Conference?

Tiger Woods held a press conference today to apologize to his wife and fans for the many extramarital affairs that forced him into treatment for sex addiction and caused many sponsors to drop him.

"Simply and directly, I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behavior I engaged in," he said. "I was unfaithful, I had affairs. I cheated. What I did is not acceptable and I am the only person to blame."

Tiger directed much of his statement to his wife, Elin Nordegren, and his children. "I owe it to my family to become a better person."

tiger is a punk. Why did he apologize? Because he is a cablasion. cablasions have no frame of reference so they don't know what's going on or why they do what they do or even what a precedent is. Since he is the only cablasion he doesn't understand his uncanny similarity to black athletes who are also white supremacists. This is sad because he will never realise he is nothing more than a eunuch.

I accept Tiger's apology, but I can't help but think that the only reason he did apologize, is because it is part of his recovery process. It's the only way he can move through his "steps." I do, however< feel that golf needs him back. His aplology has been made. The rest is between him and his wife, and the rest of the critics need to just back off. People make mistakes. He is no different than you and I except for the money and being a public figuire. He's hopefully learned a great lesson in life, and I EXPECT to see a more humble, gracious and respectful Tiger Woods. Now go win some tournaments!!

he has an illness of a sexual nature and no one and no religious beliefs will change him inside..he will lie to the public and his family that he can and has changed..he will still find ways to take care of his hidden desires..with his wealth and people he has in his circle will cover for him always..it wouldnt even change if he was poor.. i guess he is very lucky to have the means to do the cover ups that he will need in life. i guess people should just leave him alone and let him go on about his ways and life..

First of all, it is none of our business what happened in Tiger and Elin's marriage. That is between the two of them. The media should not have jumped all over this story just because it was a slow news period. It is tabloid gossip.

He is a golfer and a darned good one. I enjoy watching him play and will admit that I never watched a golf game before he came on the scene. He's an athlete and has "groupies" following him wherever he goes - just like a rock musician.

The public doesn't have to forgive him. He did nothing to us. People's morals are their own business, not ours. I don't see people outraged about all of the Hollywood couples having babies sans marriage. In another age, that would have been fodder for the grist mill but no one bats an eye anymore.

Chill all of you judgmental people and just make sure you yourself are living up to your expectations of others.

I don't know why he felt the need to apologize to the public. This is his personal life and should stay that way. The media and news go too far into the lives of people, in such a way it is thrown at us too make it our business. He is not the only "human" who has done this or is doing this and like stated, it should be between him and his family only. Regardless, you either like him or you don't, but this is for his wife to decide their future, not ours.

I am so sick and tired of people cheating on their spouses, then when they get caught all of a sudden it's an illness. It is so funny how these folks never have this sex addiction with their spouses. Tiger is a BSer who thinks that we are stupid. He doesn't have a sex addiction, he just felt that since he has money he could do whatever he wanted. If his illness was so bad, why couldn't or didn't he go to treatment prior to cheating on his wife numerous times. He needs to have been just as loyal to his wife and children as he has been to Golf.

Wow, Mel - aren't you being a little harsh? Who are you to judge him anyway? And, you don't know whether he was being sincere or not. You aren't a psychologist and you certainly don't live in their house. The media puts out these stories just to satisfy a need for the public's voyeuristic pleasure and have something to hate about Tiger because they are nobody's and are jealous. When you can prove you are perfect, maybe then you have a right to criticize others.

It isn't for the public to forgive or not forgive the man - he broke no laws, and his behavior was no one's business but his and Elin's. It is past time for the media to let go of this and let the people involved sort through their business in peace.
