Tiger Woods held a press conference today to apologize to his wife and fans for the many extramarital affairs that forced him into treatment for sex addiction and caused many sponsors to drop him."Simply and directly, I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behavior I engaged in," he said. "I was unfaithful, I had affairs. I cheated. What I did is not acceptable and I am the only person to blame."
Tiger directed much of his statement to his wife, Elin Nordegren, and his children. "I owe it to my family to become a better person."

This matter is between Elin and Tiger. Photographing the school and the kids is just vile. No more of that.

What Tiger did is between him, his wife and children and GOD!!!
No one else really has a 'say in it'.

Listen, what he publically admitted to in front of a chosen few does not negate the fact that it happenned, who are we as people to judge him, it is truly a matter for him and his wife, family and his god to wrestle with, as far as I am concerned, "its over with and now its time for him to do what he verbally contracted himself to do inside that chosen few gathering of close friends, business partners and hand picked media outlets," let's move on people.

I'm sure if the roles had been reversed, Tiger would have understood and forgiven Elin...NOT!

I don't think it is anybody's buisness but his and his wife's what go on between them i just think people need to quit worrying about these celebrities and start remembering that we have real problems in this country like people losing their jobs, losing their homes, adults and children in this country going all day because they don't have anything to eat. WAKE UP AMERICA.

A press conference suggests interaction between subject and the press. This was not a press conference.

I think the sincerity of Tiger's apology is for his wife to decide.

it certainly struck me as much more intelligent, insightful, mature and honest statement than the one Michael Vick gave.... and those of us who feel Vick got off too lightly are accused of being racist holier-than-thou space cadets who value dogs over people.
Tiger Woods betrayed the trust of a lot of people, but except for the fact that he is a sports celebrity, the only thing that really matters is his relationship with his family. He didn't break any laws. He seems to understand his failings and to be willing to work on repairing the damage he has done to his family, his sport, and his business.

I think it was big of him to apologize, but the apology was ,to me, unnecessary, Sure he cheated, but not on us, he did it to his wife and family. My God, he's only human and entitled to make mistakes and deserves forgiveness, but it's not up to us to forgive him for getting his groove on, I can see if he cheated during a round of golf or in a tournament or something, then he would ows his fans an apology. GET OVER IT PEOPLE, we all have things we don't want made public.

I've never been that impressed with Tiger Woods. Maybe if he'd cured cancer or AIDS, then yes, absolutely. He's a golfer with too much money and too big of an ego. He obviously couldn't handle it. I hardly believe he's sorry for what he did....he's sorry he was caught.

YAWN...YAWN...YAWN....This is news? Must be a slow day in the Congress or the White House. With all the issues we are facing in the country today, why are we wasting time on a slep like Tiger Woods. I love and play golf, but I will not miss him and I am sure his wife will not miss him either. The real victims here are his children.

All p r and nothing more. Oh, and he doesn't have a disease, addiction or a disorder. Tiger Woods did what he did because he chose to. Period. What a fool to think he could conduct himself this way and get away with it. A true narcissist. And, for his press conference to broadcast live on so many stations is really a sad reflection of our society. Tiger is a cheating whore who golfs well.

Anyone hear spin doctor?? The only worthy things I heard was his request to leave Elin and family alone, and that Elin did nothing-never thought she did. Very scripted. Too soon, too little for me. Glad he is going back to rehab.

Could care less.. Millions struggling in this country to keep a roof over their heads and we dwell on a billionaire who cheats on his wife.. So what's new.. I could care less. Move on to something newsworthy.
