Lindsay Lohan 'Hit Rock Bottom' Because of Dad

In a revealing interview with British tabloid The Sun, Lindsay Lohan opens up about her troubled life.

"When my father was going public, that's when I hit rock bottom. I abused substances too much and it wasn't the answer to my problems. People need to know that," she says of the time in 2007 when Michael Lohan started talking to the press about his daughter's problems.

"I tried to mask my problems with alcohol, cocaine and mind-altering substances. Now, I'm in a place where I don't need to use anything and I can feel emotions because I choose to," she adds.

The actress hopes others can learn from her travails. "Mind-altering substances are so dangerous. If I can teach others, especially teens, by sharing my experiences, then that's what I will continue to do."

She speaks candidly about her cocaine use. "It's not something I ever want to do again. It made me feel like s***. It became uninteresting to me. I'm hyper anyway and I have that kind of personality, so I don't need something like that."

But she claims much of the scrutiny of her partying is unwarranted. "The thing is, at the times I was going out a lot and being seen everywhere, I would have been in college."

What a twat, she must not have hit rocked bottom because she still hasnt accepted the fact the only person she should blame is herself. I honestly cant wait for that scank to finially go off the radar for good. I think even teh tabloids have had enough of ehr, cause no one cares anymore.

She hasn't admitted to herself she has a problem.She basically says it's her fathers fault she drinks and drugs. Look for more episodes of missing jewelry,fur coats and such.And photos of a clearly hungover Lindsay to be in the tabloids.Hope she really wakes up soon.

When you blame someone else for your problems and take no accountability yourself then your far off from rock bottom. Both her parents have some responsibility for the mess she is, but it is time for this spoiled brat to grow up and be responsible for her own actions.

I do think that a more supportive family would have helped Lindsay. But she shouldn't blame just her father. Hr mom would party with her like they were high school bffs. And being a famous kid, you can get whatever you want. You meet all these people who are in the bussiness or just consider themselves 'elite' who are already doing drugs, and eventually you find yourself doing it. Instead of blaming people, she should go to rehab and try to stay clean for the rest of her life. I iss decent Lindsay Lohan movies :*(

Lindsay's problem isn't her father, it's being greedy and self absorbed. Everything is about her, and she treats everybody and everything like it's her's to use. She doesn't have a clue that others are either repulsed, or surprised at how much she overestimates how far her looks, or talent should take her. Same goes for Sienna Miller.
