The parents of missing 'Growing Pains' actor Andrew Koenig were scheduled to appear on 'Larry King Live' last night, but the couple left the studio before recording their segment of the show, E! reports. Breaking news ate into the Koenigs' allotted time -- and when King introduced the couple toward the end of the show, he found them missing.
"For some reason unbeknownst to anyone, Walter Koenig, the father of the missing Andrew Koenig, and [Andrew's mother] Judy Levin-Koenig... left the studio in Vancouver," King said during the broadcast.
"We checked them out, they were prepared to go on, I said 'hello,' they said 'hello,'" he continued. "We said we'd be on in two minutes, they said 'fine.' And they got up and left, for reasons unknown."
A 'Larry King Live' staffer told RadarOnline.com, "What I know is exactly what you saw and heard on our show."
Andrew's father is Walter Koenig, who played Chekov in the 'Star Trek' TV series and films. The elder Koenig and his wife issued a statement yesterday: "I just want to know you're OK," Walter said directly to his son. "If it means you just want to stay here, that's OK. You don't have to come back. Just let us know that's your intention."
Koenig's sister Danielle also made a visit to 'Larry King Live,' but taped her segment as scheduled on Tuesday. "It's just very upsetting," she said. "My brother does suffer from depression, so we're very, very worried about him, and we just want to find him."
Andrew's most recent role was 2008's 'InAlienable,' written and directed by his dad. For four years, Koenig played Mike Seaver's affable best friend Richard "Boner" Stabone on 'Growing Pains.' He was written off the show in 1989 when "Boner" signed up for the Marine Corps. Watch a clip from that episode:
Anyone with knowledge of Koenig's whereabouts is being asked to contact Det. Raymond Payette of the Vancouver PD at 604-717-2534.
Perhaps he needed a break from all the pressure and his disability, and just went on a vacation for a while. Remember the Movie Into The Wild? His parents couldn't find him either nor did he ever call them. I just hope he is o.k. and all these Rediculous and dis heartening fables are just that indeed.
I wonder what the "breaking news" was that ate into their alloted time? Maybe it was something the parents felt was trivial or some gossip being sensationalized as usual......and they left in disgust? I don't blame them.
WOW SINCE WHEN WAS THIS CONVERSATION ABOUT LARRY KING I THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT A MISSING PERSON NOT HOW OLD SOMEONE IS DAMN PPL GET UR STORY STRAIGHT U BUNCH OF IDIOTS
The "BIG DEAL" is that he is a living person. Anyone missing is tragic and it is by the grace of God and everyones prayers that he along with other missing loved ones will be found. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX SO, it is a big deal in that he is a living person. So what about the others missing in our country. You bleeders are a trip. Go watch Goselin or whatever her name is. I gotta go play COD.
The PARENTS disappeared off the show?? Now we know where the son got his behavioral tendencies from. The kid was a QUITTER, like his parents. He quit on life, like his parents quit on/from the TV show.
If they were that impatient that they could not wait for the breaking news to finish and walked out they must not want to find him to bad..If my child was missing i would wait days to be able to get a chance to go on t.v. and find him or atleast hope he would see me and know i cared...so their loss..
You smart mouthed idiots posting such mean and ignorant things.........do you have a family, parents, anyone that you love and loves you? How would you feel if it was a family member of yours that was missing? I hope that you answered most of my questions with a loud no as that makes me feel better about your posts. You don't know any better!!!
They might have been told of another lead on finding their son, or perhaps another supposed sighting of him. I'd follow every trail through Hell itself and look under, over, and through everything else in order to find someone I loved and thought there might be some kind of trouble. My heart goes out to them and wish them a very happy reunion.
this is not about freaking Larry King. it's about a young man who is missing and that this concerns those who best know him enough to have gone to the police and yes; even make an appearance on L King. I'm not even going to go there with this mentally illl bit; more like ... hello! this guy 'suffers from depression.' leave it at that. they want to hear from HIM and make certain that he is ok. I think making depression -a hell of a lot of people are mentally ill if THAT is the definition!- the designation for being 'mentally ill' is not quite accurate. it DOES mean that when you know someone who gets depressed/ tends towards it then you want to keep an eye on your friend/ family member's moods, etc to make sure they are all right.
LARRY KING PROBABLY THOUGHT THAT LAST NIGHT WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE LAST. TONIGHT HE WILL PROBABLY DRINK HIS COFFEE THAT HE POURED LAST NIGHT THINKING THAT TONIGHT HE CAN DRINK TOMORROWS COFFEE. THAT IS IF THE POT IS STILL THERE AND HE GETS THE WATER FROM THE RIGHT REST ROOM.
They probably left our of concern that old LK would mistake them for Britney Spears' agents or Lindsay Lohan's siblings, since this seems to be the dire levels to which that yawn-inducing old show has sunk to lately. Plus, who knows, Larry in his advanced senility might mistake them for the Smothers Brothers.
What a silly mommy! Katie Holmes takes Suri into the water in her clothes as the two spend the afternoon at the beach in Miami. More of Today's Hottest Photos

Koenig walked off because he sensed "nuclear wessels" in the area and he needed to save the whales.

The problem with Larry King is that he has his head up the ass of the Black Man, like everyone over there at CNN.
