Former 'Idol' Top Twelver Arrested For Identity Theft

Chikezie Eze, who reached tenth place on the seventh season of 'American Idol,' was arrested Thursday night at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, according to TMZ. Reportedly, Eze attempted to use "fraudelent means" to make a purchase -- it's unknown whether that was use of a bad check or a credit card not belonging to the singer -- and was recognized by the cashier.

The former 'Idol' contestent was detained by store security until police arrived. Eze was taken to a Beverly Hills jail and booked on felony identity theft. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

to "Dunk", Rodney Alcala is actually hispanic...and even if he was white who cares...there is no argument here about which race has the most crimanls ie costs tax payers the most money...over 70% of our jails are filled with African Americans..while african americans make up only 14% of the US population. Please don't be so quick to cast judgement. We know not the details of the ordeal. Is it possible that this card belonged to a friend or family member who was being vindictive? As a business owner with media experience, in addition to the child of a former police officer...there could have been many variables that lead to his arrest. Its sad that the court of public opinion can be more damaging that our true and established judicial system. If anything, pray for him.
