Success is the Best Revenge For Lady Gaga

They always say success is the best revenge, and revenge is sweet for Lady Gaga. The 'Bad Romance' singer appears on the cover of the new Cosmopolitan, and Gaga admits that one pleasant aspect of her impressive rise to fame is proving wrong an ex who never thought she'd make it.

"I had a boyfriend who told me I'd never succeed, never be nominated for a Grammy, never have a hit song and that he hoped I'd fail," she tells Cosmo (via Huffington Post).

"I said to him, 'Someday, when we're not together, you won't be able to order a cup of coffee at the f***ing deli without hearing or seeing me.'"

Gaga's debut album 'The Fame' earned a total of six Grammy Award nominations -- and won the Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Album. Unlike her ex, the singer always had faith she'd succeed. "I ate sh** for so long, being told I didn't fit the mold and that I was 'too pop' or 'too theater,'" she tells the magazine. "I've always been delusionally ambitious to the point where people don't understand me."

It's a life she was made for, she says, adding, "My friends joke that I'm dead until I get onstage. I'm dead right now as you're speaking to me."

jackskid, what's your issue OM? Seems like someones got a Disney pirate fetish going on in his head. Stefani's got a great body and voice, she works harder than anyone else doing what she does, so in that business, she is awarded with trophies at certain award ceremonies.

See her in Detroit. She was Great! I love the song "TEETH", it has some teeth! in it. I am in my early 50's, took my 17 year old daughter with me - Yes took her with me to see Lady Gaga. We had a blast. So for those who have not heard "TEETH" get on her web site and have a listen. I just wish I could have seen Patty Smith the other day when she was in Detroit.

I have to admit I didn't like Lady Gaga in the beginning, but I totally adore her now!!! After seeing the video to this song I totally get her now.... You go girl... Speak for all of us!!!! Love you and buying your CD... My son has a speech impediment and he loves this song and sings it all the time!!!! At least he tries, but that is music to my ears!!!!

If you want to know who tomorrows stars will be just watch the Disney Channel and Nikelodean. Both networks take pre-teen children, boys and girls but girls mostly, with a little talent and put them in childrens mindless entertainment shows to further develop their talent and stage presance. Disney has been doing this since the 40's or earlier. The first one I can think of was Shirley Temple. Unfortunately, in recent years individualism is being lost to fit the Corporate Mold. Too bad.

For that resson alone it's great to see someone like Lady GaGa performe.

She is a phenomena and she is GENUINE....put aside the quirky costumes, which she helps to create...but her voice , her musical talent, her artistry and her ability to say what she thinks in the face of being
criticized, no other STAR has been as musically productive as she has with the lyrics she selects to sing and dance to.
I am proud to see an Italian/American girl go upwards in the climb to be ON TOP OF ALL THE REST in the music road.
