Gatorade Drops Tiger Woods

Although he made a public apology last week, it looks like Tiger isn't out of the woods just yet.
According to
PEOPLE, Gatorade has ended its endorsement deal with Woods admist his on-going and highly publicized sex scandal. "We no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts and have ended our relationship," said spokesperson Jennifer Schmit in a statement. "We wish him all the best."
Schmidt added that Gatorade will continue to work with the Tiger Woods Foundation.
This marks the third company to drop Woods since news broke last November that he had cheated on his wife, Elin Nordegren, with multiple women. The other two were AT&T and Accenture.
Meanwhile, Nike Inc., Upper Deck Co. and Electronic Arts Inc. are among the companies standing by Woods as the scandal continues to unfold.
Woods' partnership with Gatorade -- which began in 2007 -- previously had a hiccup last December when the company announced that it was discontinuing its Tiger Focus drink. However, Gatorade's decision was reportedly due to weak sales and not the scandal.
As we reported last week, Woods held a press conference on Feb. 19 to apologize for his actions, during which he said, "Simply and directly, I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible and selfish behavior I engaged in. I was unfaithful, I had affairs. I cheated. What I did is not acceptable and I am the only person to blame."

What a case of disloyalty...he sold millions for Gatorade because he is the best Golfer in the World, not because he is an exemplary husband. Nike is right always support your own, show loyalty or some one else will. All the ones so bitter about his affairs...ask yourself...DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR SPOUSE IS????
DOES YOUR SPOUSE KNOW WHERE YOU WERE LATELY???

Bible says 'Let Him Who Is Without Sin Cast the First Stone'. So what if Gatorade drops him, at least he's admitted to his wrong doing. That's more than I can say for all a lot of you folks critizing him.

Hahahaha... That's what we get for worshipping these boys who can play ball. That is all what they are "ballplayers", who are spoiled and pampered and think they can get away with anything because we idolize them- from chamberlain, o.j., jordan, etc.

..."THE THING THAT MAKES TIGER LOOK BAD IS THAT HE CHEATED! WHERE DO YOU GET OFF SAYING IT IS ONLY LOOKING BAD COZ OF WHO HE CHEATED WITH? WHAT PLANET DO YOU LIVE ON TO SAY SUCH A THING? YOUR BRAIN IS SCRAMBLED IF YOU THINK THIS WAY. IT IS NEVER OK, NOT WITH ANYONE, TO CHEAT ON YOUR SPOUSE. PERIOD. WHAT AN IDIOT YOU ARE TO SAY SUCH CRAP. CHEATING IS WRONG NO MATTER WHAT! END OF DISCUSSION."...Linda, You have misunderstood me. I do not think that it is ok for him to cheat with anyone but he made himself look worse by choosing the types that he did. It wasn't as if he fell in love with someone else, he cheapened himself further by choosing the low women he went with. You need to read more caarefully before you go into a rant and make yourself look like an idiot.

This is what I want to say is why is Tiger losing everything he got just for cheating. Look at Clinton and John Edwards they didn't get half of what people are doing to Tiger. So he made a mistake let it go let him live his life again. EVERYONE LOVED HIM UNTIL THIS CAME OUT. oH WELL HE'S THE SAME PERSON A MAN.I believe if it's there any man will go for it.

I just don't understand how you self righteous people have the nerve to judge that man. What he did was a private matter that he should not be responsible to answer to anyone except his wife. All of you losers have nothing better to do but point fingers. You haven't got a percent of talent he has and probably couldn't make that same percent in earnings. He made golf what it is and it needs him, not the other way around. His wife should be kissing his a** and praying he don't leave her. Nobody said anything about how that gold digger married him for his money. If he was Tiger who worked in McDonalds' she would have given him a second look. Get real and get a life!
