'Bachelor' Jason Mesnick Marries Molly Malaney

Move over, Trista and Ryan Sutter - another couple from the 'Bachelor' franchise has made it to the altar. Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney exchanged vows on Saturday, reports
PEOPLE. Former 'Bachelorette' Trista and her husband were in attendance, along with Jillian Harris, one of the women who competed for Mesnick's affections on the show.
Harris attended the ceremony with her fiance Ed Swiderski, whom she selected when she starred on 'The Bachelorette' last year. "We're really excited for them," she said of Mesnick. "They are very 'normal' in one sense, but on the other hand both of us have been through things in terms of the tabloids and drama after our shows were over."
"We're so sympathetic to each other's relationships that we're huge supporters of each other," Harris added.
Mesnick stirred up controversy at the end of his 'Bachelor' run -- he initially selected another woman, Melissa Rycroft, as the winner. Mesnick proposed to Rycroft on national television during the season finale, but in a wrap-up episode, Mesnick rescinded the proposal and instead chose the runner-up, Malaney.
Rycroft and her post-'Bachelor' beau Tye Strickland were married in December.
Close to 300 guests witnessed Mesnick, 33, and Malaney, 25, exchange vows in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The ceremony will be televised for the ABC special 'The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding'. Malaney, wearing a $45,000 strapless Monique Lhuillier gown, walked down the aisle to "Over the Rainbow," sung by 'American Idol' star Jason Castro.
Mesnick proposed lat October, while the couple vacationed in New Zealand. After a tropical honeymoon, the pair will return to Seattle and the home they've shared since September.

Good for them! Congratulations!!! Seems like even though poor Melissa was dumpted, everything turned out for the best. Melissa found her true love and Jason and Molly realized they were meant for each other. Any path to happiness is well worth taking.

This guy is a wimp that needs to be controlled by a woman...He's pathetic...
But this "Bachelor" wedding shouldn't be put with Trista & Ryan as "another Bachelor franchise has made it to the altar"!! Jason didn't marry the one he "picked" at the shows end! If he had been that uncertain, he should have done what Aaron(?) did and not propose to anyone! I disliked him and "The Bachelor" show for doing the "dumping" on national television! It was all for the ratings!!!! I do wish Jason & Molly much happiness, as I do for Melissa, and but still think that entire episode stunk!

To Anna, but they did meet because of the show. SO it did work.

ABC is out of their mind if they think anyone will watch that wedding after what he did. I hope their marriage has the same happy ending it did when he embarrassed Melissa on national TV.
Boo for even airing such a dumb event. What a joke! They are actually rewarding bad behavior and paid that dumb-ass to have his wedding televised.

No one will ever make me believe Melissa didn't KNOW something was up prior to the dumping event--if the truth were known, and I do mean the TRUTH, they probably BOTH knew the relationship was doomed, and Melissa was foolish for thinking she would end up married to him--people break up everyday. They move on. They find someone else. They marry. They divorce. They LET THE PAST GO, and don't try to be "oh, pooor me" for the rest of their lives just because they got dumped. IT's a television show, for crying out loud. Let it go, already.
You've got to be kidding me Barbara....He's a pathetic little weasel who needed ABC to help him dump Melissa...I think you need to find a real man...
Jason dumped Molly on Nat'l TV for RATINGS, he and Molly were hardly broken up though. Melissa and Jason never really got rolling with their engagement. He didn't want to cheat on Molly the gal he dumped on Nat'l TV so he just pulled away from Melissa denying multiple times it was to do with Molly. What he did do on Nat'l TV as far as Melissa goes is "finally admit it was all about Molly!" Whether it was for RATINGS or not, Jason went along with it and did it that way which lost his respect with many, including me. He and Molly no doubt belong together, but he asked for it to go down the way it did at the end of that season, he agreed to do it that way. Melissa is far better off without him, so all is well in the end.

I agree Nicole. I don't trust anything that happens on the show.
I believe most of it is scripted and done only for ratings. Every season ends with the bachelor stressing over who he will choose. He supposedly loves them both. If I were one of the girls, I wouldn't want someone who was so unsure of choosing me.
It is all about making a good tv show. Truthfully, I haven't watched it for years, but there is enough publicity that keeps everyone updated as to what is happening.
Congratulations to the both of you, and to Ty!, the real winner. Your season of the batchelor was the only one I ever watched- and was mesmerized to the end, starting with the nite Jason spent with Mollie in the 'tent'. So cute. From that point on- I knew they'd find a way to each other- to finality of a marriage. Two peas in a pod. With a lot of chemistry. Nice going. Enjoy your lives together. It goes so fast.

This was bound to happen sooner or later-Picking the wrong girl at first and realizing it one second too late. Guess that's why so many end breaking up. I give Jason credit for correcting it. This is a show for us but real life for them. Best wishes Jason & Molly.
