Following the tragic loss of her son, Michael Blosil, Marie Osmond has found comfort in the arms of her family and close personal friend Mary Hart, the host of 'Entertainment Tonight.'
"Marie and Mary are incredibly close girlfriends," a source tells me. "They talk all the time and even went to cheer on Donny together when he was competing in 'Dancing With The Stars.' Now Mary is being the best girlfriend anyone could possibly have during this horrid time."
Marie Osmond Being Consoled By Mary Hart; Utah Funeral for Son This Week

And although I'm sure it's the last thing on anyone's mind at the moment, an insider tells me that 'Entertainment Tonight' will definitely be the place where Marie gives her first interview about her devastating loss.
"Along with Oprah, Mary Hart is one of the most trusted people in the business," said a TV friend.
I've also learned that a family-only funeral for Michael will be held later this week in Utah.
Michael Blosil, 18, committed suicide on Friday evening when he jumped to his death in Los Angeles. The adopted son of Osmond and her ex-husband Brian Blosil, Michael had a history with depression and even went to rehab in 2007.

Didnt you ever need your Mom's shoulder to cry on at 18?
Nope. I never wonder where I will go when I die. I do have a slight inkling that when I do go, I will find myself there. There is a road...no simple highway..between..the dark..and the dusk of night.............and if you go..no one may follow.....That path is for ..your steps alone..........(Jerry Garcia)

You shouldn't have stopped taking your meds heart...
Yes Michael is with his heavenly Father and Mother where he will be nutured and happy..... Why? Because our heavenly Father and Mother are not looking to promote themselves in the public spotlight LIKE HIS EARTHBOUND PARENTS. Mark my words, give it time and watch Marie spiral down...Another chance for the sympathy vote. Enough is enough !
I am so sorry Marie for your loss and this tragedy. My prayer for you and your family is that you can find a sense of peace. Again, I am so sorry.

Losing a child has to be the most painful loss any mother or father can go through. Anyone making light of it is either just not mature enough to understand that or has no depth. My sympathies go out to this grieving family.

Something this tragic is never easy on a family, even one as closely bonded as the Osmonds are. Marie particularly may have a very hard time getting through this even though she is an entertainer and constantly in the public eye. Also due to her Mormon beliefs it may be more challenging still. May God be with her and her family during this very tragic time.

If I was a Mormon, I'd kill myself too. They are hateful people hiding under happy, smiling faces.

wow and you are what catholic? baptist? penecostal?foursquare? dumb? atheist? you have no idea what you are talking about stupid
Right on! This cracked me up and is the truth.
so very sorry for your sad moment but maybe he is really out of pain in peace try to forgive him and still love him no matter what. when passing over try remember good funny who he is still. i still have so many questions unanswered from our father's suicide. guilt but i know he was hurting so bad inside and i know our father loved us. that counts for alot it does not mean they did not care or love u just they dont know how to deal with not belonging here with us they wanted to open another door that hurts to save themselves at that time.bless all past present and future

It's sad when someone close to you passes away, but didn't Marie at one time have some emotional problems of her own at one time, with that being said, Marie knew her son had emotional problems himself which I don't feel she paid much attention to, how can a parent be so concerned about her child's welfare and at the same time trying to be seen all over national tv and on stage in Vegas. I don't feel that Marie herself has grown-up to take responsibilities as a mother.

adopted..gay...doesn't matter...he was her son...he was a brother..nephew..they loved him. my heart goes out to her and her family

This is a reminder that adopted kids have many more personal problems than non-adopted kids. Statistics show this being true despite what the "pro-lifers" want you to believe.

You people are just rude! this family lost a part of them and all you do is try to find something bad about them. Show some respect. It shouldn't matter is he was on drugs, gay or adopted, he had a family who loved him very, very much! You have to remember he was depressed and that this is a Disease, Mental illness that no one can fix. So do the right thing and pray for this family as you would for your own family and friends.

You're right, it's not important that he's adopted but it's also no big deal that it's mentioned. I am adopted and I'm not offended by the mention of this detail because that's all that it is, a detail. It gives clarity and news stories are all about listing the details. It's not a judgment. It's really no different than noting that someone's "second husband" has died. It's done all the time in stories about celebrities to feed a seemingly profound interest amongst some people for every detail of their lives. My mother (adoptive mother and the only one I have ever known) would be offended and I'm not surprised that the adoptive parents on this board are offended. It's been my experience that they are extremely sensitive about this even when their kids are not. And, Rob, you're just plain ignorant. Apparently, you think you actually know something about black Americans. You're a bigot. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Uh, that would be YOU, ROB.
