Lindsey Vonn 'Law & Order' Gig a Dun Dun Deal

Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn can add yet another job title to her resume: actress. The skier, who recently became the first American woman to win a gold medal in downhill skiing, is set to appear in an upcoming episode of 'Law and Order.'
Vonn, who scored two medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics, was informed of her upcoming role as a jury foreman during an interview with Bob Costas this past Saturday.
The show, now in its twentieth season, has long been a favorite of Vonn's, and the skier even paid a visit to the program's Bronx set earlier this year.
Vonn discussed her appreciation for the series in an interview with
TV Guide, saying, "I've been watching it so long ... I love that you know they are always going to catch the bad guy and it will be OK in the end."
Vonn will not be the first athlete on the show's long list of famous guest stars -- former L.A. Laker-turned-actor Poncho Hodges starred in an episode in 2005.

Awe well another show I'll have to stop watching. Vonn makes me sick of my stomache. He fake smile, to her egotistical attitude, to her blantant disrespect in general. I sure hope she can 'act' as well as she does when whining about an injury, cause we all seen her do that a number of times. Just remember MsVonn, acting is alot different than posing in bikini's.

Vonn has shamed this country. After she got the medal, she said "I got what I wanted". After that she was useless. After her medal, her falls were predicted by everybody. She caused her teammate a medal. Didn't seem to bother her at all. She ought to be banned from the 2014 olympics. She thinks of no one but herself. And they're going to put her in Law & Order?? I won't watch it anymore. Shame, shame, shame.

I'm with you Digi...I won't be watching that night. She is such a prima Donna...And the news coverage acted like she was the only female skier from the United States. Humble is not something she even knows how to pronounce.

A lot of other athletes have won a gold medal, but it was that SI photo shoot that got her the acting gig!

Some of you people amaze me. Vonn won the gold in the downhill on one leg basically. She could have quit right then and there because like she said she got what she wanted which was the gold medal, but no she gutted it out and ended up racing every race she had scheduled. And yes Mancuso was pulled off the course because Vonn fell but you can't blame Lindsey for that. It's not like she fell on purpose just to screw Mancuso out of a medal. She was leading at the time she fell. If you want to blame anyone blame the race officials for allowing Mancuso to start her run before Vonn was safely off the course.

I agree Alex.. Someone stuck their foot in it at the starting gate. The Trail is suppose to be cleared before another skier gets on the trail.. of course.. there were other problems like the track that killed that man. No safety issues here.. right??
lot of things were screwed up at this Olympics.
