Osmond's Son Reportedly Texted About Suicide Note

As the pieces begin to come together in the investigation of the suicide death of Michael Blosil, the 18-year-old son of Marie Osmond, a new report claims that minutes before he jumped to his death, Blosil sent a text message to a female friend as his final goodbye. According to TMZ, Blosil had plans to hang out with the female companion on Friday night, but instead, he sent her a text message saying that he had left her a note in his apartment. The unnamed woman then found the note, but it was too late.

Blosil jumped from the eighth floor of his apartment building, killing himself after a long battle with depression.

TMZ reports that in the note, Blosil said, "the woman was his only good friend in L.A. and he was very unhappy." While the note reportedly doesn't mention suicide directly, police tell TMZ that they're absolutely considering it a suicide note.

Blosil was currently enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, and according to his friends, was clean and sober in recent months. In 2007, Blosil went to rehab for undisclosed reasons.

In the wake of her son's death, Osmond released a brief statement, saying: "My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time."

PopEater's Rob Shuter reported on Sunday that a funeral for Blosil is set for this week in Utah, and that Osmond is currently being consoled by her good friend, 'Entertainment Tonight' host Mary Hart.

As a mother my heart goes out to Marie and her family. No mother should have to bury there child. My prayers are with the family. God be with you in your time of need.

That should read NO PARENT ( not only a mother) should have to bury a child. Mothers aren't the only parents devastated by the loss of a child, DAWN!!
Still, it is a sad day for the Osmond family. My sympathy to them all.

THIS Mormon mother WOULDN'T have buried her gay son so early had she been less supportive of her church's anti-gay political activities and MORE supportive of her GAY son!! Gay teen depression and Gay teen suicides are on the rise and they COULD be prevented...but too many parents choose religious fanatasism over their children and let them die instead of doing what it takes to Love a gay child... I don't feel sorry for Marie Osmond. Her faith will get her through it and hopefully open her eyes. That's why Michael did this.

My deepest sympathies to Marie and her family. I have one child and I could never imagine losing her for any reason, but especially to suicide.
How very sad. I am so sorry for her.

this incident is very sad and i am sure a tragedy for the Osmonds but thankfully he did not hurt anyone else by landing on them. Depression is a disease and has definate signs before suicide is attempted, all parents should take a lesson here and learn the signs because it can happen to your child aswell

Excuse me!??? Not her REAL son?? Yes, he's adopted, but as the mother of an adopted child, he is very much my REAL son, and I don't doubt for a minute that Marie and Michael's father feel the same way. No wonder so many adopted children grow up with such insecurities when they hear and read thinking like yours.

What are you Stupid? A child is a child, birth or adopted. I have both and love them all equally. My heart goes out to the Osmond Family. The loss of any family member is horrible, the loss of a chils unspeakable. My God use this time to bring the family together.

I remember seeing Marie on Larry King several years ago. He asked her how many of her 8 children were adopted, and she replied, "I don't remember." She refused to actually answer the question because they are all the same to her--they are all her kids. I, too, have 8 kids, and 6 of them are adopted, so I can relate.
